Shalom,

This morning in our Worship Service at The Spoken Word Church we looked at Matthew 5:9:

Here is that verse in the Amplified Bible:

9 Blessed (enjoying enviable happiness, spiritually prosperous — with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!

The peacemakers here are NOT those trying to negotiate a peace settlement between two warring nations. They are also NOT those who demonstrate against guns and violence and war. The peacemakers in this verse are those who have received Jesus of Nazareth as Lord and personal Saviour and are now taking that Gospel (Good News) and letting the world know that God has already provided peace between Himself and all of mankind, through the precious Blood of Jesus, if they will only accept and receive Him! Become a peacemaker! Preach the Gospel! Then become a maintainer of that peace by being and making disciples!

When we receive Jesus of Nazareth as Lord and Saviour, we then become a new creation and a child of the Living God! 2 Corinthians 5:17:

We have now been given the Ministry of Reconciliation! That means we are made peacemakers! We preach the Gospel so that others may receive also! What a GREAT Plan our God has made! AMEN!

Shalom  in Him!
