Always Triumph

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV

The key word in the scripture above is always. Knowing that we always triumph in Christ gets rid of the false philosophy, “win a few—lose a few.”

Just because it is God’s will that we always triumph doesn’t ensure we will never be attacked or have adversity.

I’ve heard people say, “Well, I haven’t always triumphed.” That’s not God’s fault. His Word says He always causes us to triumph—and God is always right. In God’s mind, victory belongs to you. No matter what kind of persecution, adversity, or attack you may be under, God’s planned result is triumph.

Of course, you can choose to give up before victory comes; you can get weary in doing well before victory comes; you can even get discouraged and quit before victory comes. But I am totally convinced that God already has your victory planned out for you.

I’ve learned that what I do during an attack will determine whether or not I triumph. I made up my mind years ago that I’m not going to accept failure. I’m not saying I’ve never had an opportunity to fail, or I’ve never had a setback. I’ve had plenty of these situations, but it’s never over until God has the opportunity to turn things around and lead me into triumph.

I don’t know what you may be going through today, but I do know this: If you won’t give up God will always lead you in triumph.

Confession: I believe God will turn every adversity into victory. I believe God has a victory plan for every negative circumstance I face. I always expect victory because God has promised I can always triumph in Christ.

Today I want to share again from Joseph Prince's "Daily Grace Inspirations" devotional:

Saving You Is Jesus' Job Description

But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:20–21

The name “Jesus” is Yeshua in Hebrew, which contains an abbreviation for Yahweh, the name of God in Hebrew. So the name “Jesus” literally means “Yahweh is our Savior” or “The Lord is our Savior”! What a beautiful name!

Every time you call the name of Jesus, the name that is above every other name, you are calling God Himself to save you. Saving you is Jesus’ job description!

Whatever the challenge or circumstance, whatever crisis you are in—physically, financially, or emotionally—you can call on the name of Jesus and Almighty God Himself will save you!

My friend, you can take time to know the names of God, which He revealed under the old covenant, such as Elohim, El Shaddai, El Elyon, Jehovah-Jireh, Jehovah-Rophe and Jehovah-Nissi. You can do a complete study on the names of God.

I am not against that at all. I teach on the names of God in my church as well, but all these names will mean nothing to you if you don’t know that God Almighty Himself, Jesus, wants to save you first from all your sins, then from all your challenges.

God can be all powerful, but if you are not confident that He is interested in your success, His power would mean nothing to you. So, you don’t have to memorize all the names of God from the old covenant. What you need is a full revelation that Jesus, in the new covenant, is your Savior!

What is Tiger Woods famous for? Golf! What is David Beckham famous for? Soccer! (He's also famous for product endorsements!) What is Jesus famous for? Saving you!

What do you need saving from today? See Him in your situation, rescuing, protecting, and providing for you!

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

As long as you live by the Word of God, you never have to be in the dark again. You never have to remain in confusion about which path to take. You never have to grope blindly along, struggling to find your own way.

Isn’t that great? Isn’t it exciting to know that the Word of God will give you all the light you need every day of your life if you’ll allow it to?

Build your faith in that Word and renew your commitment to it as you make this confession today:

“Father, in the Name of Jesus, I commit myself to walk in Your Word. I recognize that Your Word is integrity itself–steadfast, sure, eternal–and I trust my life to its provisions.

“You have sent forth Your Word forth into my heart. I let it dwell in me richly in all wisdom. It does not depart out of my mouth; I meditate in it day and night so that I may diligently act on it. Your Word is an incorruptible seed, abiding in my spirit, and it’s growing mightily in me now, producing Your nature, Your life.

Inside Help

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. — ACTS 24:16

Soon after I was saved and healed, I returned to high school. Now, I don’t know how it happened exactly — none of my family cursed — but we had a neighbor who could “cuss” up a storm, and I guess I picked it up from him. So at school one day, I said to one of the boys, “Hell, no . . .”

The minute I said it — and I didn’t know a thing about the Spirit-filled life — in my heart I said, “Oh, dear God, forgive me!”

What condemned me? The Holy Spirit? No. It was my own spirit. This new creature, this new creation, this new man, doesn’t talk that way.

Now, the flesh may want to continue doing some things it used to do, or talking like it used to talk, but you have to “crucify” the flesh. And a good way to crucify the flesh is to bring any problems right out into the open immediately.

That’s what I did when I realized I had cussed. I didn’t wait until I was “moved” to repent; I immediately asked the Lord to forgive me. The young man I had said it to had walked away. I found him and asked him to forgive me. He said he hadn’t even noticed what I’d said; he was used to people talking that way. But I wanted to get things right with him and with God.

Confession: I am a new creature in Christ. I talk like a new creature. I think like a new creature. I act like a new creature. My spirit leads me to do so.

You Are Who God Says You Are

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. Psalm 139:14 NKJV

God has made each one of us in His image, perfectly designed with an identity ideally suited to accomplishing all He has called us to do. However, most of us do not reach adulthood with this identity intact. Instead, we form an image of ourselves based on information we’ve received from our parents, peers, and circumstances.

Perhaps, like many, you were told you were stupid. Or maybe you were rejected by your peers because you looked different or failed in some way. If this is the kind of information you used to form your identity, then you will likely see yourself as a failure.

By taking on that false identity of a failure, you will surely live your life in defeat. You can pray to God all you want, asking Him to change your circumstances, but until you change your identity nothing is going to change.

Jesus Christ came to give you a new identity. He died and rose again to give you His identity. It is only in Him that you will discover the identity God intended you to have from the beginning of time.

In Him you have been made the wisdom of God. You have status with God and man, and you are a winner in every situation in life. In Him you are a champion, not because of anything you did, but because of what God freely did for you in Christ.

God says you are in Christ; therefore, every one of the 130 “in Christ” Scriptures is talking about you. Determine today to throw off the old identity that is holding you back and be who God says you are!

Confession: I am not who people say I am. I am not who circumstances say I am. I am not who my past says I am, and I am not even who I think I am. I am who God says I am!

I LOVE today's "Daily Grace Inspirations" devotional by Joseph Prince!

Lost Years Restored

“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust. . . . You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame.” Joel 2:25–26

Today’s scripture contains such a beautiful promise. The most precious thing that our Lord Jesus can restore to you is the lost years of your life.

All the years that the locusts have eaten, God can supernaturally restore to you. Every minute spent in fear, worry, doubt, guilt, condemnation, addiction, and sin adds up to wasted years that have been stolen from you.

But I have good news for you today. Because of what our Lord Jesus has done for us on the cross, you can believe for total and complete restoration, for God to redeem ALL the time that has been lost and wasted!

Let me share this phenomenal testimony of God’s restoration from a brother by the name of Clarence, who resides in West Virginia:

I was a drug addict for ten years, injecting opiates into my veins every day. Even though I knew that the addiction was destroying me, I did not want to stop what I was doing.

But two years ago, my heavenly Daddy delivered me from the addiction by placing me in a halfway house. I was stuck there, unable to leave, and unable to get anyone to pick me up. And God not only removed my drug addiction, but my smoking addiction at the same time!

While I was in the halfway house, I listened to many grace preachers but always ended up with a feeling of weight on my shoulders. My mother had been telling me to listen to Joseph Prince, but I resisted it initially, wondering how a man from Singapore could have anything to say about God’s grace.

Boy, was I wrong. Singapore sent a missionary to America! Praise the Lord!

Through Joseph Prince’s messages, I found rest in understanding Jesus’ finished work at the cross. I also learned that condemnation kills and that on the cross, Christ had absorbed all my condemnation. Once I saw that, I saw the next crucial thing—that GOD IS MY DAD, and that means all good things are mine in Christ Jesus!

Today, I am running a successful art business that has grown by leaps and bounds. I now own a home with my wife and she also has a growing business.

In addition, my relationship with my daughter from my previous marriage has also been restored. I was not allowed to see her for the past ten years but now, she has been staying with me over the weekends!

It is truly overwhelming to think of how fast my Dad has restored all the wasted years! Not only has He restored my life, but He has also restored my heart and mind toward Him. What a contrast to the years when I was still a drug addict, homeless, and eating scraps off plates at the houses of drug dealers!

The grace revolution is a revolution of restoration. All the years this precious brother had lost to his addiction were restored to him when he embraced the grace of our Lord.

In the same way, all the years lost wandering in the parched wilderness of legalism, Christian religion, and the ways of the old covenant can be restored to you. You don’t have to live bound by any shackles. You can be set free to truly live the abundant life Jesus came to give you!

Am I Blessed Like This?

Blessed are… — Matthew 5:3-10

When we first read the statements of Jesus they seem wonderfully simple and unstartling, and they sink unobserved into our unconscious minds. For instance, the Beatitudes seem merely mild and beautiful precepts for all unworldly and useless people, but of very little practical use in the stern workaday world in which we live. We soon find, however, that the Beatitudes contain the dynamite of the Holy Ghost. They explode, as it were, when the circumstances of our lives cause them to do so. When the Holy Spirit brings to our remembrance one of these Beatitudes we say — “What a startling statement that is!” and we have to decide whether we will accept the tremendous spiritual upheaval that will be produced in our circumstances if we obey His words. That is the way the Spirit of God works. We do not need to be born again to apply the Sermon on the Mount literally. The literal interpretation of the Sermon on the Mount is child’s play; the interpretation by the Spirit of God as He applies Our Lord’s statements to our circumstances is the stern work of a saint.

The teaching of Jesus is out of all proportion to our natural way of looking at things and it comes with astonishing discomfort to begin with. We have slowly to form our walk and conversation on the line of the precepts of Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit applies them to our circumstances. The Sermon on the Mount is not a set of rules and regulations: it is a statement of the life we will live when the Holy Spirit is getting His way with us.

Today's "Faith Food" devotional by Kenneth E. Hagin is vital for being led by the Spirit of God!

Number Two: The Inward Voice

I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost. ROMANS 9:1

The number one way the Holy Spirit guides us is through the inward witness. The number two way is through the inward voice.

The inward man has a voice just as the outward man has a voice. We call the voice of the inward man “conscience.” Sometimes it is also called intuition, inner guidance, or “the still, small voice.” It is not the voice of the Spirit of God speaking to us, because when the Holy Spirit speaks, His voice is more authoritative. The still, small voice is the voice of our own spirit. Yet our spirit picks it up from the Holy Spirit who lives inside us.

For example, I relate in the devotion of July 19 how a “buzzer” seemed to go off inside me as I stepped inside that building that was for sale in Tulsa. I knew on the inside — This is it! But I didn’t want to listen. When my wife asked about it later, I said, “No, we’ll just stay where we are.” But when we went to bed that night, I couldn’t get to sleep. My conscience was hurting. My spirit knew I hadn’t listened to it.

So I said, “Lord, in the natural, I don’t want to move to Tulsa. But if that’s what You want, I won’t stand in Your way.” Suddenly, on the inside of me, that still, small voice said, “I’m going to give you that building. You watch Me.” And God did just that!

Confession: I listen to the voice of my spirit. And I obey it!

Faith Conquers

When you begin to live a life of faith and to follow your dreams, adversity is sure to arise because for the first time you’re dangerous to the adversary. As a result of your commitment to follow God, two things will begin to happen immediately.

First, your faith will grow. A major part of following God is staying in His Word and listening to His voice. Doing these two things will undoubtedly create a spirit of faith within you that can overcome any opposing force that comes against you.

Second, the devil will come to steal away all that you have received from God and His Word. Your faith is a threat to the devil. He knows that if you are determined to walk in faith, then there is nothing he can do to stop you from receiving what God wants you to have.

When trouble arises, it is often tempting to draw back from what you are believing for. However, don’t give up. Don’t let that be an option. It might be tempting, but quitting will not bring to pass the things that you have dreamed about and prayed for. Faith conquers adversity every time.

I John 5:4 says, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

Our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. This means that any attack that comes your way, you can overcome it when you walk in faith. There is simply nothing the devil can do to stop you.

The faith of God in us is greater than anything Satan can throw at us!

Today I want to share Kenneth and Gloria Copeland's "Faith To Faith" deovotional!

The Key to Confidence

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

You can never get away with disobeying God.

Some people think they can. They think that if no one finds out about it, it won’t hurt anything. After all, God is merciful. He’s not going to hold it against them, right? And if no one else knows…what’s the difference?

What they don’t realize is that their own hearts will start giving them problems. Their own hearts will start to condemn them. Everyone else may think they’re great. They may be spouting faith talk all over the place, but when they come before God in prayer, they’ll be filled with doubts and fears that keep their prayers from being answered.

That’s one of the reasons why it’s so important to live in obedience to the Lord. A life of obedience will give you a spiritual boldness you’ve never had before. It will give you a boldness in prayer, a boldness in faith. It will give you a confidence toward God, as the Apostle John says, that those who are trying to get away with sin don’t have.

I’m not saying that you have to be perfect–that you should never make a mistake. Just that you should walk in obedience to the light you have. Take the time to listen and be responsive to the Spirit of God. When He tells you to do something, do it.

As you do, that confidence will rise up within you. It won’t be something you mentally drummed up or talked yourself into. It will just be there. Instead of being consumed with doubts and feelings that the Word of God isn’t going to work for you, you’ll find yourself filled with faith that it will. You’ll begin to trust God and to flow with Him. You’ll come to a place the Bible calls “rest in the Lord.”

Remember this: Even though the eternal price for your sins has been paid, a life of disobedience will still cost you dearly. It will cost you the boldness that is rightfully yours in Jesus. It will rob you of faith and rock you with fear.

Don’t let the condemnation of your heart cut your confidence short. Do the things that are pleasing in God’s sight and walk tall in the kingdom of God.

I LOVE today's Daily Grace Inspirations devotional by Joseph Prince!

Get Ready to Play Offense

He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

Whatever team sports you follow, you know that defense is vital. A good defensive strategy keeps you in contention, but defense alone doesn’t win championships.

The prayer of protection in Psalm 91 has many defensive elements, such as dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty, and taking the Lord as our refuge and fortress. We can also see how we are covered under His wings and protected by an angelic army.

Knowing that we’ve got our defensive game covered, are you ready to play some offense?

Certainly, there are times and seasons when the best thing to do is to take cover and to allow ourselves to be sheltered. The Lord is our safe house, our hiding place, and our impenetrable fortress, and I love that we get to take refuge in Him.

But the prayer of protection also declares this in verse 13: “You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.”

That’s taking an offensive position. That’s going on the attack. That’s taking authority!

In the Gospel of Luke, we see our Lord Jesus sending seventy disciples out against the kingdom of darkness, as “lambs among wolves” (Luke 10:3). Have you ever seen a lamb overpower a wolf?

Of course not. You see, this authority that we are talking about is not natural authority. Like the lamb, you and I have no power in and of ourselves. This is a supernatural authority that comes from our Lord Jesus Christ, just as the strength that enabled Samson to tear apart the young lion was a supernatural strength.

The portrayals of Samson I have seen depict a massive and muscular man. I think he could have been small and scrawny, but endued with supernatural power and might from God.

Naturally speaking, for Samson to take on the lion with his bare hands was like a lamb taking on a ferocious wolf. But we know that He who is in us is greater than any predator that is in the world. Amen!

My friend, in Christ, you are far stronger than you think you are. You may not look it or feel it, but God always uses the weak things of this world to confound the wise and mighty (1 Corinthians 1:27).

Remember, the race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. It is the Lord who ultimately determines who shall emerge victorious. And since the Lord is for you, who can be against you (Romans 8:31)!

Today I want to share Kenneth E. Hagin's "Faith Food devotional:

Inside Signals

Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart? — JOB 38:36

God led us to move to Tulsa, Oklahoma, by an inward witness in the late 1960s. Our home had been in Garland, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, for seventeen years. And we had no plans to move. In fact, since our ministry was growing, I had it all planned just how we would turn our entire house into an office (we were operating the ministry out of our den and garage), and even how we could build additional facilities on our property, if necessary.

Then we went to Tulsa on business. A friend, in whose home we were staying, said to me, “Brother Hagin, you need to move to Tulsa. And I’ve got just the place for you! Brother T. L. Osborn’s old office building is for sale, and they’ve asked me to sell it. Come on, I want to show it to you.” (Several people had tried to buy it, but the deals always fell through, so the building was still empty.)

I wasn’t much interested, to tell the truth. But I thought, Just out of respect for my friend, I’ll go.

The minute I walked into that building, it was just like someone had rung a bell or set off a buzzer on the inside of me. Sometimes the inward witness is like that. A buzzer went off in my spirit — right down in my belly. It’s difficult to describe, but you just know it was inside, in your spirit. This was God confirming that He wanted this building for my ministry.

Confession: The Holy Spirit dwells in my spirit. Wisdom is in my inward parts. Understanding is in my heart. And I listen to my heart.

Today I want to share Andrew Wommack's Daily Devotional:

We Must Receive

Luke 13:16 'And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?'

This sickness was the work of Satan - not the work of God. Jesus said it had bound her - not blessed her - for eighteen years. The teaching that says that sickness is actually a blessing in disguise, because the Lord is working His plan in one's life, is not found in scripture. As Acts 10:38 says, Jesus 'went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil' not 'oppressed of God.'

There are 17 times in the Gospels when Jesus healed all of the sick that were present. There are 47 other times when He healed one or two people at a time.

Nowhere do we find Jesus refusing to heal anyone. Jesus said that He could do nothing of Himself, but only what He saw the Father do. His actions are proof enough that it is always God's will to heal!

Jesus provided for physical healing as well as forgiveness of sins. The very word 'save' (Gk.-'sozo') is translated 'made whole' in reference to physical healing in Matthew 9:22, Mark 5:34, and Luke 8:48. James 5:15 says 'the prayer of faith shall save (Gk.-'sozo') the sick.' Many scriptures mention the healing of our bodies in conjunction with the forgiveness of our sins.

Healing is a part of our salvation, just as much as the forgiveness of our sins.

It is God's will that no one should perish, but many do because of their unbelief. Likewise, it is God's will that we all be healed, but not all are healed because of failure to believe. It is a mistake to assume that whatever God wills will automatically come to pass. We play a part in receiving from God. Believe His Word today.

Make Hell Tremble

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Is the devil giving you fits today? Is he causing trouble for you at every turn?

If so, turn the table on him. Start making him miserable for a change. You have the power to do it, you know. You have the power residing in you to destroy his works, to heal, to deliver, to set the captives free. You have so much power in you that every time your alarm clock goes off, the devil should wail, “Oh no! That troublemaker is up again!”

A few years ago, I got a letter from a little girl who had attended one of my healing services in Los Angeles. Although she was far too young to understand theology or anything like that, the Lord gave her a very simple and profound revelation as she watched people being healed.

She said that as she looked up at the platform, she couldn’t see me at all. She just saw Jesus. And she also saw a devil. Do you know what the devil was doing? He was lying on the floor crying, “This can’t be! This can’t be! This can’t be!”

Right now, at this very moment, the power of the Lord Jesus Christ is at work within you. And it’s not just there to get you to heaven someday. It’s there so you can give the devil a fit right here on earth. It’s there so you can build the kingdom of God now–while there’s still time.

Line up with God’s Word and will for your life. Let the Anointing of Jesus go forth from within you. All of hell will tremble. And you will never be quite the same again.

Today I am sharing another devotional from Joseph Prince's "Daily Grace Inspirations":

No Safer Place in the Universe

But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. John 20:11–12

Do you know what Mary saw as she looked into the tomb? She saw the substance of the ark of the covenant.

Just as we saw that there were two cherubim or angels on the mercy seat, there were two angels sitting where Jesus had lain—one at the head and the other at the feet. It was an empty tomb that our Savior was laid in after He had paid the full price for our sins with His own blood.

Today, this tomb remains empty because all our sins are forgiven and our Lord is risen! Our hope, confidence, and assurance of salvation are found in the nail-pierced hands of our resurrected Savior.

The mercy seat is a picture of the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). That is where we want to be—at the throne of grace, under the protective covering of His feathers and His wings.

I want to encourage you with this praise report from Veronica, who lives in New York City.

A few nights ago my husband, Casey, and I were stuck in a traffic jam for five hours. So we put on a sermon by Pastor Joseph Prince titled The Secret Place Where You Find Protection and Long Life.

Later, we found out that a fatal accident had taken place just five seconds ahead of us before we got stuck. Five seconds. The Lord had protected us from the accident!

Today, Casey was again protected miraculously. It appeared that a driver had had a heart attack while driving and passed out. It led to a chain collision and all the cars in front of and behind Casey got hit. And the drivers were taken to the hospital.

Despite all this, Casey’s car was completely untouched. Everything happened so quickly that he had no time to react.

It was the Lord who protected him once again because that very morning, Casey was reading a devotional by Pastor Prince that drew Bible references from Psalm 91. . . . “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge.”

Truly, there is no safer place in the universe than under the protective shelter of our Savior’s wings. What blessed assurance we can have today, knowing that even if destruction rages around us, there is always refuge and comfort in the Lord, our unfailing peace, protection, and supply.

I completely agree with Veronica that there is no safer place in the universe than under His wings, and I rejoice that the Lord’s protection over her and Casey is for us as well!

I LOVE today's "Faith To Faith" devotional by Gloria Copeland!

Discourage the Devil

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Do you want to know how to depress the devil? Just follow the instructions in that last verse. When persecution comes, when friends or family criticize you because you lay hands on the sick and believe in healing, and when co-workers call you a fanatic because you love Jesus and aren’t afraid to say so, rejoice! Shout hallelujah and leap for joy!

I tell you that will discourage the devil to no end. He’s expecting that persecution to hurt you. He’s expecting it to damage your faith, to wipe you out and to leave you in dismay.

I’m not saying you should enjoy the persecution itself. But you can learn to overlook the discomfort of those things by focusing your attention on the reward that’s coming and the fact that Jesus said you are blessed.

The Apostle Paul certainly knew how to do that. He was an expert on rejoicing in the midst of persecution. Satan was constantly stirring up trouble for him. But do you know what he said about all that persecution? He said it was not even worth considering compared to the glory that was about to be revealed.

If Paul could rejoice in the midst of beatings, stonings, shipwrecks, imprisonment and almost every other kind of persecution, you can too!

Just do what he did. When he was told by the Holy Ghost that bonds and afflictions awaited him, he said, “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24).

Don’t get all caught up in what people think and what people say down here on earth. Get caught up in pleasing the Lord. Get caught up in finishing your course with joy. Get caught up in the glorious hope that’s ahead. For that hope is enough to make anyone–under any circumstance–leap for joy!

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" (Matthew 7:9-11)

Today I want to share this from Joseph Prince's "Daily Grace Inspirations" devotional:

A Very Present Help

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

If God wants us to be healthy, and Jesus’ body was broken for us, why are there Christians who are sick? I personally know believers who are battling severe illnesses, and I am sure you do too. You or your loved one might even be facing a health challenge right now.

If you are fighting a medical condition, please know that it is okay for you to have doubts and questions. The Lord knows the confusion and pain you feel, and He wants you to know He is with you through it all.

I know it can be hard to keep trusting Him when you are going through a fiery trial. But keep trusting Him, my friend. He is, right now, your very present help. Keep fixing your eyes on Him. He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Daniel 3 records the story of three friends (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego), who were bound and thrown into a fiery furnace when they refused to bow to and worship the gold image set up by King Nebuchadnezzar. The furnace was so hot that the men who threw them in were killed by the heat.

But the king saw the three friends walking in the midst of the fire, and he saw a fourth man with them who was “like the Son of God” (Daniel 3:25). Amazed, the king called them out, and he and all his officials saw that the fire had had no power over them. Not a single hair on them was singed, their clothes were not scorched or damaged, and there was not even the smell of smoke on them.

Why? Because the Lord was with them, protecting and delivering them. As a result, the king acknowledged that there was no other god who could deliver like their God, and the three friends were not only released, they were also promoted.

I am back again after another week off! Today I want to share a vital teaching by Kenneth E. Hagin from his "Faith Food" devotional!

Number One: Inward Witness

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself . . . . — 1 JOHN 5:10

The way God confirms the most important thing that can ever happen to you, is also the way God leads His children: by the inward witness.

The most important aspect of your life — becoming a child of God — is confirmed to you by God’s Spirit bearing witness with your spirit, that you have been born again (Romans 8:16). This will help you understand that the number one way God leads His children is through the inward witness.

That is almost always the way I am led. Yes, I’ve had revelations, and I’ve had God lead me in other ways, too. But most of the time, I am led by the inward witness.

And you can be too!

Confession: I am a child of God. I have been born again. I am born of the Spirit of God. God’s Spirit bears witness with my spirit that I am a child of God. As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. I am a child of God; therefore, the Spirit of God leads me. He is leading me now. I trust Him, the Greater One. He will rise up big in me. He will give illumination to my mind. He will give direction to my spirit, for I am a child of God. I am being led by the Spirit of God. And the Spirit of God leads me, first of all, through that wonderful inward witness.

AMEN! Spending time in His Word and in Holy SPirit prayer will cause you to develop your ability to distinguish HIS voice! Here is Hillsong with "Secret Place":

Today, on the 250th birthday of the United States of America, I want to share this from Kenneth and Gloria Copeland!

God Is Healing Our Land

Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid. Romans 3:3-4

Faith-filled words. That’s what changes things. They’ll move mountains into the sea. They’ll turn sickness into health. They’ll turn a sinner into a saint.

They’ll also take a sin-ridden nation and turn it into God’s own country. That’s right. Then, if we believers would back up the prayers we’ve been praying for this nation with words of faith instead of doubt and discouragement, we’d soon begin to see spiritual resurrection in the United States.

God promised us that if we, His people, would humble ourselves and pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways, He would heal our land. And let me tell you, there are prayer warriors all over this country (I hope you’re one of them) who are doing what that promise requires.

But, even so, you don’t hear many people saying, “This is great! God is healing the land.” You don’t hear people speaking out by faith the promise of God. Instead, you hear them saying, “Oh my, oh my, did you hear what those terrorists are doing?” or some other destructive thing they’ve seen on television.

Listen, we need to stop preaching what the terrorists are doing and start telling what God is doing! God said He is healing this land.

We must start speaking about this country by faith instead of going around spouting bad news all the time. Of course, that will sound odd to most people. Some of them may even think we’ve slipped a few cogs. But that’s nothing new.

Let me tell you something: One handful of believers who are listening to, trusting in, and speaking out the good news of God are more powerful than all the devils on earth. One handful of believers is more powerful than a whole army of unbelieving doomsayers. The unbelief of the doomsayers will not make the faith of God of no effect!

That’s why over the last 25 years, Gloria and I have learned to turn a deaf ear to the bad news and just start praising and thanking God for His deliverance. Every word of praise we speak releases faith in our heart.

Get determined with Gloria and me right now. Take a firm stand with us that things are changing in this country. Settle it in your heart as you pray. Speak it out. Call it forth. God is healing the land!

2 The kings of the earth take their places; the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and His Anointed One (the Messiah, the Christ). They say,
3 Let us break Their bands [of restraint] asunder and cast Their cords [of control] from us.
4 He Who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord has them in derision [and in supreme contempt He mocks them].
5 He speaks to them in His deep anger and troubles (terrifies and confounds) them in His displeasure and fury, saying,
6 Yet have I anointed (installed and placed) My King [firmly] on My holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, You are My Son; this day [I declare] I have begotten You.

The Lord Christ

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. — COLOSSIANS 3:23-24

When Jesus becomes your Lord, He will want to have something to say about the kind of books you read — about the amusements you enjoy — about the governing of your physical body.

If Jesus is your Lord, He will want to have something to say about your finances — how you make your money — and how you use your money.

If Jesus is your Lord, He will want to have something to say about your marriage — about your children — about your home. He will want to dictate to you regarding your vocation in life and where you live.

Yes, Jesus will want to enter every area of your life, if He’s your Lord. I want Him to be my Lord, don’t you? That’s what makes the Christian life blessed. The lordship of Jesus strips life of its weakness, frailty, and human guidance. It lifts life out of the realm of the natural and into the supernatural.

Confession: Lord Jesus, I want You to have Your way in every area of my life. I want You to have Your say-so in every area of my life — in the books I read, in the company I keep, in the amusements I enjoy, in my companions, in my marriage, in my home, in my finances, and in the way I spend my time.

The Lordship Of Jesus

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. — ROMANS 6:4

Some translations of Romans 10:9 read, “. . . if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart . . . thou shalt be saved.” That means you must confess Jesus as your Lord and acknowledge His lordship over your life in order to be saved.

The reason for this is obvious. We’ve been the servants and the subjects— as well as the children — of Satan, the enemy of God. We have belonged to the kingdom of the devil. Now we want to leave that kingdom and become “naturalized citizens” of God’s Kingdom. But before we can do this, we must swear allegiance to the new fatherland, so to speak. We must make an absolute, unconditional break with our old fatherland. So, the Bible says, we must confess Jesus Christ as Lord. He is the new Ruler of our intellectual life as well as our heart, or spiritual life.

Some want to have Jesus as Savior, but not as Lord. They want Him as their Savior from hell, but they don’t want Him as their Lord and Ruler on earth. You can’t really have one without the other.

Confession: I walk in the newness of life. Jesus Christ is my Savior. Jesus is my Lord. Lord Jesus, I live in Your Kingdom now, and I acknowledge Your lordship over my life. I want to have Your will and Your way in every area of my life.
