In Matthew 10:1 we see Jesus sending out the Twelve in HIS power and authority, to heal and to cast out demons.
1 AND JESUS summoned to Him His twelve disciples and gave them power and authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out, and to cure all kinds of disease and all kinds of weakness and infirmity.
The word "power" here is the Greek word "exousia", which means authority and ability! Jesus sent them out fully equipped, in HIS authority, to deliver people from the works of the enemy! The phrase "all kinds" in this verse, which is "all manner" in the KJV, is the Greek word "pas". This means: all, any, every, the whole, every kind. There was not one kind of sickness, disease, weakness or infirmity that Jesus, and now these disciples, were not able to heal and deliver people of and from! THIS was under the Old Covenant! Now, after Jesus TOOK our sickness and disease, along with all sin, upon HIMSELF, and delivered it all to hell, WE have an even better Covenant, based upon even better promises (Hebrews 8:6)! That means that there is not one sickness, disease, weakness of infirmity that can stay on YOU, IF you will believe His Word, grow your faith, and refuse to be denied! AMEN!
