Shalom,

Our
Psalm for today is Psalm 121. This is one of the "Songs of Ascents" which the Israelites would sing as they made their way to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feasts. They would remind themselves of all that God had already done for them, and look forward to what He was going to do. We, who have an even better Covenant (Hebrews 8:6) with the One, True, Most High, Living, Almighty God of the Bible, should have this attitude every day! Here is the Psalm:

1 I WILL lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip or to be moved; He Who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

The promises that the LORD will
"keep" ( the Hebrew word "shamar": to hedge about; guard; protect; attend to; have charge of; save life; to celebrate; to treasure up) us belongs to those who stay in intimate fellowship with Him. THEY did this by going to Jerusalem, by going to the synagogue, by offering sacrifices. WE do this every day by spending time in His presence, because His presence is IN US! How completely and utterly blessed we are! Don't take this lightly! HE paid a horrific price for US to have this priceless privilege and awesome promise. When YOU allow HIM to lead, guide and direct your steps, you will NOT slip, fall or fail (Psalm 55:22). You WILL face tests, trials and temptations, but HE will deliver you out of them ALL (Psalm 34:19 and 2 Timothy 3:11)! AMEN! Here, to encourage you in this is, Hillsong Live with "Love Knows No End":

Shalom in Him!
