Shalom,

Proverbs 3:5-7 instructs us to do this:

5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. 6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. AMP

Do YOU believe this promise? Have there been times when you had a specific promise from God that you thought, just maybe, He needed a little help from YOU to accomplish? That's what Rebekah thought in Genesis 27-28 today! Here is the promise she had from God in Genesis 25:22-26:

22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of the Lord. 23 And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. 24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb. 25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. 26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them. KJV

If you are familiar with the lives of Jacob and Esau, you KNOW what this "helping hand" that Rebekah tried to give to the One, True, Most High, Living, Almighty God of the Bible caused to happen! Division, mistrust, bitterness, envy, jealousy, vengeance and any number of other negative thoughts and emotions could have been avoided if she had simply trusted IN HIM! AMEN! Take an account of YOUR life and the promises that God has given to YOU! Are you content to do what God has given YOU to do and to let HIM do His part? It takes discipline and great trust, but the rewards are well worth it! AMEN! Here is Hillsong Live with "God Who Saves":

VERSE
The light of the world
Shining in love
Taking the fall upon Your shoulders
You shattered the dark
As You rose to life again

You search all the earth
For those who are lost
And leaving the rescued for the fallen
You're leading us home
As we call upon Your Name

CHORUS
You're the God who saves
You're the hope of all
Reaching out Your hand
As Your people call

VERSE
Our Saviour has come
Let Your will be done
Your kingdom on earth as in the heavens
Our freedom is found
Lord in no other name

You are the Way
The Truth and the Life
Your mercy has overcome our failings
The battle is won
Jesus in love You reign

BRIDGE
Here in Your light ever brighter
We lift Your Name higher and higher

Shalom in Him!
