We have a book by Gloria Copeland in our The Spoken Word Church library called "And Jesus Healed Them All". He DID! Jesus healed everyone who came to Him with faith to receive! How did they get this "faith to receive"? Romans 10:17 tells us this:
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. KJV
The ONLY source for Bible faith is the Word of God! NOT experiences, testimonies or prayer! Testimonies and experiences can motivate us to get into the Word of God, but they CANNOT produce faith! Neither will praying FOR faith actually bring faith! The Word of God is very clear that faith comes directly from hearing (and hearing and hearing) the Word of God! Further evidence of this is what we see Jesus doing in today's Bible Reading Plan in Mark. Verses 1-2 and 13:
1 AND JESUS having returned to Capernaum, after some days it was rumored about that He was in the house [probably Peter's]. 2 And so many people gathered together there that there was no longer room [for them], not even around the door; and He was discussing the Word.
13 [Jesus] went out again along the seashore; and all the multitude kept gathering about Him, and He kept teaching them.
Matthew 4:23 tells us this:
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. KJV
Hebrews 11:1 tells us exactly what faith IS! Here it is from both the KJV and the Amplified Bible:
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. KJV
1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. AMP
This "substance" and "evidence" comes directly from the Word of God as the Spirit of God makes the Word of God real to us! AMEN! Let's get to work "studying to show ourselves approved unto God" (2 Timothy 2:15) so that WE can walk in health and bring health and healing to others - in HIS Name! AMEN!
