Shalom,

Acts 26 shows us Paul giving account of his contact with the risen Jesus on the road to Damascus. He was on his way to continue to harass born again believers. Then THIS happened:

13 When on the road at midday, O king, I saw a light from heaven surpassing the brightness of the sun, flashing about me and those who were traveling with me. 14 And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice in the Hebrew tongue saying to me, Saul, Saul, why do you continue to persecute Me [to harass and trouble and molest Me]? It is dangerous and turns out badly for you to keep kicking against the goads [to keep offering vain and perilous resistance]. 15 And I said, Who are You, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus, Whom you are persecuting.

Notice that Jesus asked Saul why he was "persecuting" JESUS! "Persecute" is the Greek word "dioko", which means: to pursue, to make to run or flee, to drive away, to harass, to trouble, to molest, to maltreat. In the previous verses Paul had admitted what he had done to the born again believers in Jesus Christ BEFORE he himself was saved! JESUS told Saul that when he did these things, he was doing them to JESUS! When someone comes against YOU, as a member of HIS body, they, too, are coming against JESUS! When He says that vengeance belongs to Him and that He WILL repay (Romans 12:19), He means it! THAT is why we are to love one another, forgive one another and do nothing harmful TO one another! We are ALL members of HIS body! If you have done this, STOP! you are only hurting yourself! The GREAT thing about this Truth is that the same thing is true of our doing GOOD to and for one another! We ARE doing it to and for HIM (Matthew 25:40)! AMEN! So let's be all about thinking, speaking and acting in a GOOD way towards everyone and let God take care of the just rewards! AMEN! Shalom in Him!
