Shalom,

I love the study of God's Word and all of the tools that make it so much easier for us than those who have gone before! We are, of ALL people, MOST blessed! I have been blessed with a new KJV New Testament that has the highlights and notes of one of our ministry partners who is a trusted Bible teacher! It was fun to see something in a new way today! The original text was from Matthew 4 in our Bible Reading Plan for today. Verse 4 says this:

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. KJV

This is what Jesus answered satan when tempted in the wilderness. In the hand written notes this minister had added "The just shall live by faith". We find that in three different verses in the New Testament: Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:1, Hebrews 10:38 and originally in Habakkuk 2:4! Here it is in Romans 1:17:

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. KJV

We are told that we are to live by faith! Do you know where faith comes from? Look at Romans 10:17:

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. KJV

The Word of God, that Jesus says we are to live by along with our natural food,  produces the faith that is needed for life! Do you see how very interconnected the Word is! Faith COMES whenever the Word is taken in as our necessary food! Job 23:12:

12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. KJV

The Bible is NOT just some random thoughts and words thrown together by a bunch of old guys who had nothing better to do than sit for hours writing and rewriting their own ideas! 2 Peter 1:20-21 says this:

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. KJV

And 2 Tim 3:16 says this:

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: KJV

Our God created us to require His Word! Then He provided it for us! Make the determined purpose to really KNOW, not just read, the Word of God! Joshua 1:8 tells us this:

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. AMP

To meditate means to think about and ponder, but also to speak it, to ourselves and others. The Holy Spirit lives in every believer and HE will teach us what the Word of God is saying and how to act on it! Ready? GO FOR IT! You'll be SO glad you did! AMEN! Here are some inspiring pictures and quotes to encourage you!

Shalom in Him!
