Psalm 9:10 is a Truth that born again believers need to really understand! So many are expecting God to do something when many of the promises of God have a condition that must first be met!!
10 And they who know Your name [who have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy] will lean on and confidently put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for) You [on the authority of God’s Word and the right of their necessity].
What is the condition, or the prerequisite, found here? We MUST come to Him on the authority of His Word and with the understanding of our rights IN HIM! The Word of God tells us that faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17)! Faith to stand on the promises for every situation comes FROM the Word! It is impossible to operate in any level of faith without knowing what the Word of God says! When we know what the Word says and we stand on it, THEN we have a testimony and an experience to build ourselves up for the fight! BUT, the experiences of past victories will NOT give us faith for new ones! We need to take the past experience to remind ourselves of the TRUTH of God's Word and renew our faith IN the Word by attending TO the Word! We will NEVER "know it all" concerning the Word, but must live in it every day to stay at a high level of faith. No one can do it FOR you! Make it YOUR determined purpose to build a higher level of faith every day of 2015. Not just for yourself and your needs, but so that YOU can help others get their needs met!
