Shalom,

Have you read this yet today from the Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan? Psalm 3:6:

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about.

The word "fear" here is the Hebrew word "yare`', which means: to be afraid, to make afraid, to terrify. This verse, spoken and written by an Old Testament believer, says that they would NOT be afraid or in terror of "ten thousands of people"! People here can refer to individual people, or entire tribes or nations. Can you imagine having no fear if this many people, or entire nations, set themselves against YOU? We MUST meditate on the Word if we ever hope to have the God kind of faith operating in our lives! This Old Testament saint would not allow fear, and they did NOT have the better Covenant (Hebrews 8:6) that WE have! If anyone should never be afraid of natural circumstances, it would be US! Born again believers in Jesus Christ! Hebrews 13:6 tells us this:

So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?

WE should be at least as confident as the psalmist that God will protect us in every situation! We will never truly walk in the boldness that is necessary in order to fulfill our calling in this life until we refuse fear in every form! Work on YOUR boldness today by meditating on these verses AND by putting them into practice! How do we do that? The next time you are even tempted to fear, LAUGH, REJOICE, and PRAISE HIM! Your atmosphere will change because you have saturated it with the Word, the presence (He inhabits the praises of His people!) and the power of God! Now GO! BE the LIGHT in YOUR world! AMEN! Here is Hillsong with "Children of the Light". That IS who we are!

Shalom in Him!
