Proverbs 17:27-28 is great advice for us!
27 He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding has a cool spirit. 28 Even a fool when he holds his peace is considered wise; when he closes his lips he is esteemed a man of understanding. AMPC
People who talk continually usually have a problem keeping their words good words, AND their emotions! The Amplified Bible says this:
When there are many words, transgression and offense are unavoidable,
But he who controls his lips and keeps thoughtful silence is wise.
Words are so vitally important to our success and prosperity in life that our Father does not hesitate to keep us informed, in His Word and by His Spirit, on ways to guard those words! It takes a diligent commitment to LIVE in the Word of God for the Word of God to really take root and grow in us! As we do this, and God does His part, then we become strong and skillful in using the Word! Galatians 6:9 reminds us to never quit, no matter what things 'look' like! There is a sure reward for never giving up!
9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
AMEN! Never give up! Never give in! Your harvest of good and godly things is just about break loose in your life! Because it doesn't cost to serve God. It most definitely pays! Big time rewards! HALLELUJAH! Let's praise Him with Hillsong and "What a Beautiful Name":
