There is so much Wisdom to be found in the Book of Proverbs! Today we read Proverbs 16. Let's look first of all at verses 1-3:
1 The plans of the mind and orderly thinking belong to man, but from the Lord comes the [wise] answer of the tongue. 2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits (the thoughts and intents of the heart). 3 Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.
We ARE supposed to gain knowledge and to use that knowledge to be successful at whatever God has called us to do. MOST believers will not carry out their personal ministry (the ministry of reconciliation, from 2 Corinthians 5) from the pulpit. Most ministry is done one on one with people we know, or people we come to meet and to know through going about our everyday lives! When we do this, we can count on the Anointed One within us to speak through us as verse 1 says! We can trust the Lord to lead and guide us into these situations, and in every area of life! Just roll your works, cast your cares, over on Him and HE will lead you every step of the way of success! AMEN! And now to verses 7!
7 When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
AMEN! When WE follow JESUS, making HIS #1 priority to be OURS, also, then He WILL do what this verse promises! We can walk on in HIS peace, fully expecting HIS favor to go before us! We WILL succeed, IF, w do not quit! AMEN! Here is Hillsong Worship with "Look Too The Son":
