Shalom ,

Psalm 112 continues with the message we looked at yesterday about the fear of the LORD! Look at verses 1-8:

PRAISE THE Lord! (Hallelujah!) Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who fears (reveres and worships) the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. His [spiritual] offspring shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Prosperity and welfare are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Light arises in the darkness for the upright, gracious, compassionate, and just [who are in right standing with God]. It is well with the man who deals generously and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice. He will not be moved forever; the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God) shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firmly fixed, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord. His heart is established and steady, he will not be afraid while he waits to see his desire established upon his adversaries.

I know you have heard this before: "It doesn't cost to serve God, it pays!" What this is trying to say is that the RESULTS of living this way, will FAR outweigh any sacrifice we can make to do so! BUT, the key to all of the promised results is found in our ATTITUDE! Don't simply do things that SEEM "Christian". DO what the Word of God says to do, at the direction and guidance of the Holy Spirit! WE are to be a witness and a testimony to the grace and glory of the LORD! Living this way is not just a great idea, it is our responsibility! We MUST present Him in a TRUE light, so that as HE is lifted up, HE can continue to "draw all men" unto Himself (John 12:32)! AMEN!
