Shalom,

At a Bridal Shower I attended today the Bride shared that her favorite Scripture verse is Jeremiah 29:11. Here it is from the Amplified Bible:

11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. AMP

As I was searching for other versions of this verse, I came across a website that was teaching that this verse does NOT apply to us as the Church. Have you ever had someone say something like that to you when you have been standing on a certain verse or portion of Scripture? It is so very bizarre for a born again believer to speak this way! 2 Timothy 3:16-17 tell us this:

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. KJV

The Amplified Bible is even more clear!

16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action), 17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work. AMP

Did you catch that? It says "EVERY SCRIPTURE" is God-breathed and profitable to us! Profitable is a GOOD thing! AMEN! Then we have this in Hebrews 8:6:

6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. KJV

WE, as born again believers in Jesus, have a BETTER Covenant than the people of Jeremiah's time! If God had only GOOD plans for THEM, and He DID, HOW MUCH MORE will He have good plans for US? Don't EVER let anyone rob you of what God has provided for you through the precious Blood of Jesus and His Word! LEARN what belongs to you and then fight for it! He has GOOD plans for your life and He wants you to know it! While you're finding them out, listen to this song from Hillsong Live called "Always Will":

Shalom in Him!
