Shalom,

Our God is a God of His Word! He IS the God of Promise! He IS the God of the Covenant! His plans for us are phenomenal and beyond all that we could even ask of think (Jeremiah 29:11)! BUT, He has put the conditions for being in position to receive all that He has given in His Word! The condition for eternal Salvation believe in JESUS and what He did for us personally on the cross, then accept and receive that for ourselves (John 3:16-17; Romans 10:9-10; 1 John 5:10-13). No one can do that FOR us, but they can pray that our hearts be ready to receive and that those who share the Gospel will come into our lives! I said all of that to say THIS: We begin our Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan again today and Psalm 1:1-3 gives us some conditions for walking in the blessing of God!
Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].

Now THAT is a tremendous promise! And all that WE must do is to stay away from evil influences and pay attention to the Word, the Voice and the Spirit of God! And be DOERS of all that we see and hear from HIM! Read the rest of
Psalm 1 to see what the alternative ending is if we should be foolish enough to choose that path! Make a determined purpose today to live the rest of your life, until JESUS appears for us, actively seeking JESUS and His Word and being obedient to both! AMEN! Here is Hillsong with "Your Word" again! BECAUSE!

Shalom in Him!
