We read Psalm 119 on our last day in this year's Bible Reading Plan! Look at verses 1-2:

1 You’re only truly happy when you walk in total integrity, walking in the light of God’s word. 2 What joy overwhelms everyone who keeps the ways of God, those who seek him as their heart’s passion!

Learning, knowing and obeying the Word of God puts us in position to receive the greatest blessings of our lives! Look at these verses from the Amplified Bible!

1 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are the undefiled (the upright, truly sincere, and blameless) in the way [of the revealed will of God], who walk (order their conduct and conversation) in the law of the Lord (the whole of God’s revealed will). 2 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek, inquire for and of Him and crave Him with the whole heart.

Note that under our new and better Covenant, the 'undefiled' are NOT those who never miss it or make a mistake! They are those who are 'upright and blameless' because they have received JESUS as Lord and Saviour, and the Blood of JESUS continually cleanses them from all sin as they confess (acknowledge and admit) that sin to the Father (1 John 1:9)! And we all are 'blessed, happy, fortunate and to be envied' when we make the Word of God our standard and order our lives by it! All of  Psalm 119 is referring to the Word of God and how indispensable it is to our success in everyday life! I encourage you to read Psalm 119 on a regular basis and allow Holy Spirit, who lives IN every born again believer, to show you more and more Wisdom from it! Make a commitment to put the Word of God first place this year, and next year on this last day of the year, YOU will look back on a year of unprecedented growth in the things of God and in usefulness to the Kingdom of God!
