Shalom,

Psalm 96 is a great psalm, or song, of praise to the One, True, Most High, Living, Almighty God of the Bible. The God of all creation. The God of our salvation!
O sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!
Sing to the Lord, bless (affectionately praise) His name; show forth His salvation from day to day.
Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples.
For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be reverently feared and worshiped above all [so-called] gods.
For all the gods of the nations are [lifeless] idols, but the Lord made the heavens.
Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Ascribe to the Lord, O you families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Give to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering and come [before Him] into His courts.
O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; tremble before and reverently fear Him, all the earth.
10 Say among the nations that the Lord reigns; the world also is established, so that it cannot be moved; He shall judge and rule the people righteously and with justice.
11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all the things which fill it;
12 Let the field be exultant, and all that is in it! Then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy
13 Before the Lord, for He comes, for He comes to judge and govern the earth! He shall judge the world with righteousness and justice and the peoples with His faithfulness and truth.

If WE who know Him don't praise and worship Him, who will? The Word of God tells us that the angels are always praising Him (Isaiah 6:3; Luke 2:13-14; Revelation 5:11-12; Revelation 7:11-12). Jesus said that the very rocks will praise Him (Luke 19:40)! Our instruction and exhortation to praise Him is NOT because HE needs our praise, but because WE need to praise Him (Psalm 8:2; Psalm 149:6-9)! HE is worthy of ALL of our praise, and when we DO praise Him, we keep ourselves in position to walk in the blessings of our Covenant with Him! AMEN! We are instructed in verse 1 above to sing a new song to the LORD. A new song CAN be one that we create with the help of Holy Spirit Who lives in us. It can also be a song in the spirit that WE don't understand, but He most definitely does! What a wonderful Gift we have in the person and presence of Holy Spirit within us! Let's make a new determined purpose to praise and worship HIM more in the coming days than we ever have before! I believe that a new and deeper fellowship with Him, and understanding of His Word, power and purpose will result! Are YOU ready for this? YES, you are! Let's GO! Here is Hillsong with "For Your Name":

Shalom in Him!
