Shalom,

I REALLY like this line that I saw in reading Jerry Savelle's devotional for today!

{Do you know that the problem you are facing right now has not taken God by surprise? God is not scratching His head, saying, “I didn’t bank on this happening. How am I going to work this one out?”}

God is NOT saying that! He is aware of everything. He knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10), and nothing has EVER taken Him by surprise! THIS is His promise to us concerning tests, trials and temptations found in 1 Corinthians 10:13:

13 For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

HE has provided the way of escape, and it is hidden in His Word! HE has provided this, but WE have to believe and receive! The God of the Bible has given us a free will to choose between life and death; blessing and the curse. He will NOT choose for us! He CANNOT! Why? Because THAT is the way HE set it up!  His desire is that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9), but that ALL would choose HIM! Let's continue to bring delight to His heart every day buy choosing LIFE (zoe - life as God has within Himself, and has given to US to have)! His promise concerning THAT is this from John 10:10:

10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Let's LIVE in that promise and BE that light in our world, revealing JESUS! AMEN! Here is "Touch The Sky" again by Hillsong, just because I LIKE it!

Shalom in Him!
