Shalom,

Psalm 69 records David calling out to God in a time of great need in his life. We sometimes FEEL like David did, but the REAL answer is found in verses 30-31:

30 I will praise the Name of God with a song and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. 31 And it will please the LORD better than an ox or a bullock that has horns and hoofs.

God is much more pleased with our praise and worship from hearts that trust and rely on Him completely than by ANY sacrifice we could make! After all, He IS worthy of ALL praise! Verse 34:

34 Let heaven and earth praise Him, the seas and everything that moves in them.

AMEN! We HAVE to have a song for that! Hillsong's "Across The Earth":

In Mark 13, after one of His disciples commented on the magnificent stones and buildings, Jesus said this in verse 2:

2 And Jesus replied to him, You see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be loosened and torn down.

In 70AD the Temple was indeed destroyed and all of the buildings razed to the ground. One of the things we learned on our tour of Israel last year was that every time the city was destroyed, people would build up new buildings on top of the ruins of the old. Usually they would reuses some of the same stones. We saw the many layers of rebuilding and we even went underground to see that some of the MASSIVE foundation stones were still there! Here are some pictures of that:

These two pictures show the many layers of building with different shapes of stones.
These two pictures show the massive foundation stones. They extend from the far right of the top picture to the far left of the bottom one. These were uncut stones! How did they EVER get them here? One of the many amazing things you'll see when you visit Israel!

Shalom in Him!
