Psalm 34:8-9:

8 O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.  [1 Peter 2:2,3.] 

9 O fear the Lord, you His saints [revere and worship Him]! For there is no want to those who truly revere and worship Him with godly fear.

There is NO want or lack for those who put HIM as their first priority! Be a true worshiper (John 4:23-24) and you will see things change in YOUR life! 


In Acts 6 we see where the disciples picked out people to wait on the widows. The qualities needed for someone to wait on tables was this from verse 3:


3 Therefore select out from among yourselves, brethren, seven men of good and attested character and repute, full of the [Holy] Spirit and wisdom, whom we may assign to look after this business and duty. 

Stephen was one of those chosen. He was "full of faith and full of the Holy Spirit"! This is what was accomplished through a waiter who stayed full of God's Word and filled with the Spirit:


8 Now Stephen, full of grace (divine blessing and favor) and power (strength and ability) worked great wonders and signs (miracles) among the people. 

No matter WHAT your position is, God can and WILL use you IF you will stay filled like Stephen!


In Genesis we see Rebekah doing what Sarah had done! SHE tried to work the plan that was GOD'S to work! There will ALWAYS be heartache and problems doing things our own way rather than God's way! He would have seen to it that the prophecy was fulfilled, and He could have done it without all of the bitterness and hatred and fear that resulted! Let's LET God BE God! Below is a little reminder to you:

Be on GOD'S team and you have nothing to fear!
