In Acts 23 we see Paul being held for his protection because the Jews wanted to kill him. When the commandant was made aware of the plot to ambush Paul and kill him, he set Paul under armed guard to Caesarea, where he was kept in Herod's palace. When we visited Israel we saw the remains of Herod's palace, including a theater that had been built for his use. Here are some pictures of that:
It truly is amazing to visit Israel and see the places we've only read about in the Bible! There is so much being discovered that proves the Biblical account! Nothing has ever been discovered that is contrary to the Bible! Make the Word of God YOUR #1 priority! It is TRUTH you can count on! AMEN!
