Shalom,

Proverbs 10:17 has always been an exhortation and encouragement to me to continue going hard after the Wisdom, knowledge and understanding of the Word of God!

17 He who heeds instruction and correction is [not only himself] in the way of life [but also] is a way of life for others. And he who neglects or refuses reproof [not only himself] goes astray [but also] causes to err and is a path toward ruin for others.

Every decision that we make in this life affects not only ourselves, but everyone else we are responsible for. We are either being a help or a hindrance to those around us by the choices that we make. No, we are not responsible for the decisions that others make, but we are responsible and accountable for what we DO with the opportunities that God has given to us. This verse tells me that when I make good and Godly decisions to do things God's way, in line with His Word, then the results of those choices will be not only a blessing to them, but will also be a beacon showing the way of LIFE! Without doing anything extraordinary, notable or newsworthy, I will still be doing something that will make me famous in Heaven and will lead to LIFE for others! We may think that big ministries reach a lot of people, but I have found, in over 30 years in ministry, that most people are more profoundly affected by those around them than by any one teaching or meeting that they attend. It is constancy and consistency that really stand out and encourage people! The word "REPRESENT" has continued to come up to me in the last few weeks. I believe that as we make a more serious commitment to truly "REPRESENT" Jesus in our words and actions, HE will be glorified and WE will be blessed beyond measure! Verse 22 promises us this:

22 The blessing of the Lord—it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].

I LOVE that promise! How about you? Here is Hillsong with one of my favorite Christmas songs, "We Have A Saviour":

Shalom  in Him!
