Shalom,

I really like reminding myself of this from Kenneth E. Hagin's Faith Food for today:

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God" (Phil. 4:6)

The Amplified translation of this verse begins, "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything…."

Christians usually practice only part of this verse—the part that says to pray. But if we practice that part and not the part about not having anxiety, we're not practicing the Word. We're not being a doer of the Word.

First, God's Word says, "Do not fret…."
If you're going to fret and be anxious, it won't do you any good to make requests. Your prayers will not work.

"Careful" is the Greek word "merimnao". It means: to be anxious about; to be troubled with cares; to have a distracting care. The Amplified Bible says this:

Phil 4:6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. AMP

Don't allow yourself to pray BEFORE you cast every care, worry, fear or fret over on Jesus! If Jesus tells us to do something, then He has already provided us the way to do it, and given us the ability to do it! You CAN live your life free from worry, guilt, fear, anxiety, condemnation and every other fretful emotion! Cast them on Him and THEN  pray and stand on God's Word for the answer! A blessed life indeed! Amen! Here is Hillsong with "I Stand In Awe":

Shalom in Him!
