Shalom,

Psalm 131 is the song of a person (David) who does not think more highly of himself than he ought to think and who is content to wait on  the LORD and be led by Him!  I like the Message Bible for this also:

1 GOD, I'm not trying to rule the roost, I don;t want to be king of the mountain. I haven't meddled where I have no business or fantasized grandiose plans. 2 I've kept my feet on the ground, I've cultivated a quiet heart. like a baby content in its mother's arms, my soul is a baby content. 3 Wait, Israel, for GOD. Wait with hope. Hope now; hope always!

David totally understood the concept from God's Word that was expressed in the New Covenant by Peter in 1 Peter 5:6:

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of GOD, that He may exalt you in due time.

When we make our Father's business our #1 priority, we can count on Him to exalt us and cause us to walk in His great favor! Be content to find His will for YOUR life, then get yourself right in the middle of it! There is no better place on earth to be!

In John 8 we see the case of the woman caught in adultery. In "the very act", no less! My question has always been, "Where is the man"?Leviticus 20:10 says this:

10 And the man that commits adultery with another man's wife, even he that commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Deuteronomy 22:22 says this:

22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

So where exactly was the man, seeing that they were caught in the very act? This was nothing more than a set-up! They wanted something to use against Jesus to try and get Him to lose favor with the people, or to get Him arrested. Once again, He left them speechless! I LOVE our Jesus! He is the very smartest, wisest, all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful GOD of the universe, and He lives in us by His Spirit! THAT means, we can expect to be able to leave our tormentors speechless, too! Spend time in intimate fellowship with Him, praying in the Spirit, and He will reveal mysteries and secrets to you that will confound the world! It will also lead all who truly have a heart after God to come to Him! Thank You, Jesus!  Then verse 36 says this:

36 So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.

Let's operate in that wonderful freedom! Here is Hillsong with "The Freedom We Know":

Ezekiel 28 begins with the LORD instructing Ezekiel to speak to the "prince of Tyre". This was the human king, or leader, of Tyre. He then addressed the "king of Tyre" who was satan himself. Remember that men operate on earth by the influence, or even the indwelling, of either the Spirit of God or of the devil! That is why we are told in Ephesians 6:12:

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

This also why we are told this in 2 Corinthians 10:4:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;)

As a born again believer in Jesus of Nazareth, you have an enemy who is trying to steal, kill, and destroy in your life (John 10:10). Be aware of this and don't come against people, but against the REAL enemy, with the Word of God! The One, True God of the Bible wants you to have "Life, in abundance,  to the full, till it overflows" (John 10:10 Amplified)! And He will show you how to walk in it! Amen!

We also read Ezekiel 30:20-26 today. I found something interesting in the Bible Exposition Commentary again! We see that God speaks of breaking the arms of Pharaoh. The first one mentioned was Pharaoh Necho who was defeated by Nebuchadnezzar in 605 B.C. The second "breaking" referred to Pharaoh Hophra who fought against Nebuchadnezzar and was defeated! This Pharaoh had a second name: "The Strong-Armed". Not any more! I don't know about you, but I am always fascinated by how very PRESENT our Awesome God is in the things that go on in the world! It was no coincidence that He spoke of breaking the arms! He was just proving, again, that He is real and He is GOD! Hallelujah!

Shalom in Him!
