Shalom,

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 says:

3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

When Paul says here that we walk IN the flesh, he is referring to our life here on Earth, where we walk around in these physical bodies. Even though we are confined to live IN these physical bodies now, we are not to live BY the supply of the flesh. Remember that we who have received Jesus of Nazareth as Lord and personal Saviour are no longer citizens of this planet, but citizens of Heaven. Philippians 3:20:

20But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior,

We are to live our lives on this Earth by Heaven's laws and Heaven's supply! That includes the weapons of our warfare! Remember that we are called upon to fight the GOOD fight of faith. 1 Timothy 6:12a:

12Fight the good fight of the faith;

The reason the fight is a good one is because it's one that we win, IF we don't quit, and IF we use the right weapons. Our weapons are NOT "carnal", the Greek word, "sarkikos", which means: pertaining to the flesh, unregenerate, temporal. Our weapons are MIGHTY weapons, through the anointing, power and ability of our Almighty God! USE THEM! One of the most important things that we MUST do as believers in this Faith fight, is to control our thought life. We see this in 2 Corinthians 10:5:

5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We can't keep thoughts from COMING into our minds, but we are responsible for those that we let STAY there! We must recognize the ungodly thoughts and cast them down! Get rid of them, refuse to think on them and replace them with Godly thoughts! Reject and replace is the correct formula for dealing with ungodly thoughts! Ungodly thoughts are any thoughts that are contrary to what God's Word says.

In Ruth 3-4 we see God's abundant provision for Naomi who dared to go back where she belonged, even if it meant that she went alone, and for Ruth, who gave up everything familiar to her and gave her life to Naomi. We need to realize that God already has the plan, from before the foundation of the world, to bless us abundantly. We just need to get ourselves into a place of obedience to Him and then expect Him to provide! He ALWAYS comes through when His people put their complete faith, trust and confidence in Him! Hallelujah!

Shalom in Him!
