Shalom,

Psalm 144:1 says:

1BLESSED BE the Lord, my Rock and my keen and firm Strength, Who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight--

Remember that the God "Who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight" is teaching US to fight the GOOD fight of faith! (1 Timothy 6:12) And that we don't fight PEOPLE but Ephesians 6:12:

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

OUR fight is with our adversary who is trying to steal, kill and destroy in our lives! (John 10:10) He has NO authority. Jesus stripped him of his authority and all he has left is deception. If he can deceive you into quitting and giving up, then he will be able to take from you what God has already said is yours! Learn from the Word of God just what belongs to you and fight the faith fight to keep it from the enemy! We're talking about all of those great and precious promises that we mentioned yesterday! I also like Psalm 144:15:

15Happy and blessed are the people who are in such a case; yes, happy (blessed, fortunate, prosperous, to be envied) are the people whose God is the Lord!

OUR God is THAT God! The One and only! AMEN! So we are BLESSED! Hallelujah!

John 4:23-24 says this:

23A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers.24God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).

Are YOU a TRUE worshiper? Do you worship (reverence and adore) Him in spirit (by the Holy Spirit in you) and in truth (according to His Word - John 17:17)? Your relationship with God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) SHOULD be THE most important relationship in your life! When we make HIM our #1 priority, everything and everyone else in our lives will lack nothing! In fact, our other relationships will be better than we ever thought possible as we learn from the Master how to properly relate to each one!

I also love how Jesus continues to break free from the traditions of men! He had no problem talking to a Samaritan AND a woman! Remember Galatians 3:28:

28There is [now no distinction] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Don't let ANYONE talk you out of being ALL that God has called you to be!

In 1 Samuel 14-15 we see such a contrast between Saul and his son Jonathan! How did Saul, who can't seem to follow instructions and obey God, raise a son of such integrity and character as Jonathan? It's fascinating to me to realize that these aren't made up stories! These are real accounts of the lives of very real people! We can learn so much just by observing their mistakes and avoiding them. That's wisdom! We can get a LOT of wisdom reading about Saul! AMEN!

Shalom in Him!
