I love two things about today's Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan! The first is found in Psalm 124:1-6:
1 If it had not been the Lord Who was on our side—now may Israel say— 2 If it had not been the Lord Who was on our side when men rose up against us, 3 Then they would have quickly swallowed us up alive when their wrath was kindled against us; 4 Then the waters would have overwhelmed us and swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us; 5 Then the proud waters would have gone over us. 6 Blessed be the Lord, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth!
And here it is from The Passion Translation!
A song of the stairway, by King David
1 What if God had not been on our side? Let all Israel admit this!
2–3 What if God had not been there for us?
Our enemies, in their violent anger,
would have swallowed us up alive!
4–5 The nations, with their flood of rage, would have swept us away
and we would have drowned,
perished beneath their torrent of terror!
6 We can praise God over and over that he never left us!
God wouldn’t allow the terror of our enemies to defeat us.
Remember! If God is FOR us, then it doesn't do ANYONE, ANY good to come against us! The biggest key to walking in this type of Victory is to meditate on the wonderful promises in God's Word and then to EXPECT them to manifest in YOUR life! AMEN! The second thing that I love is found in John, my very favorite of the Gospels! John 1:1-5:
1In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. 2 He was present originally with God. 3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. 4 In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. 5 And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].
In the beginning! Or from the very beginning! God has ALWAYS been the LIGHT! Now He has appointed US to get out there and BE the LIGHT! Are YOU ready to do so? If not, what in the world can be holding you back? I am urging you to renew your intimate fellowship with the One Who loves YOU MOST and BEST! AMEN! Here is Hillsong with "No Reason To Hide":
