I have always loved Psalm 127:1-2!
1 Except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; except the Lord keeps the city, the watchman wakes but in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to take rest late, to eat the bread of [anxious] toil—for He gives [blessings] to His beloved in sleep.
When Jesus said, in 1 Peter 5:7 (AMPC), that we are to cast every care and worry over on Him, He meant that we are NOT to bear them! When we get with God's program, instead of trying to fit God into OURS, then the care and worry and responsibility for the outcome is on HIM! The Lord revealed to me, many years ago now, when we owned a catalog ordering and receiving store, that God is NOT obligated to pay for something that He didn't order! When we plot and plan our own ways, then He will step back and let us have at it! BUT, when WE find out HIS agenda and plan, and get into agreement with Him, then HE is responsible for carrying it all out! Now doesn't THAT sound much better than bearing the responsibility of it ourselves? Of course it does! So, heed what Psalm 127:1-2 is saying, above, and then count on HIM to give you sweet, peaceful sleep, and to give into your spiritman the Wisdom, knowledge and understanding needed to fulfill YOUR part in HIS plan! AMEN!
As you continue in your study today, read John 4 again! Read it to capture the tone and attitude that JESUS took with the Samaritan woman! He revealed that He knew of her life situation. He knew that she was 'living in sin', yet He NEVER took a condemning attitude toward her! His focus was to bring LIFE to her, her family, her city and to whosoever would receive Him! At first the people she told about JESUS came to see Him because of her testimony. But then they came because of JESUS Himself! Verses 39-42:
39 Now numerous Samaritans from that town believed in and trusted in Him because of what the woman said when she declared and testified, He told me everything that I ever did. 40 So when the Samaritans arrived, they asked Him to remain with them, and He did stay there two days. 41 Then many more believed in and adhered to and relied on Him because of His personal message [what He Himself said]. 42 And they told the woman, Now we no longer believe (trust, have faith) just because of what you said; for we have heard Him ourselves [personally], and we know that He truly is the Savior of the world, the Christ.
AMEN! Make sure that you are not telling people about their sin, but about the LIFE that is available in JESUS! THAT is our message! AMEN! Here is Hillsong with "No REason To Hide":
