I would love to watch the "video" of the days of Jesus' ministry! Look at just one of the "works" He did in Luke 13:10-13:
10 Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And there was a woman there who for eighteen years had had an infirmity caused by a spirit (a demon of sickness). She was bent completely forward and utterly unable to straighten herself up or to look upward. 12 And when Jesus saw her, He called [her to Him] and said to her, Woman, you are released from your infirmity! 13 Then He laid [His] hands on her, and instantly she was made straight, and she recognized and thanked and praised God.
What a wonderful thing it was for these suffering people to see miracle after miracle of healing and deliverance at the hands of Jesus and His disciples! You would think that the religious leaders would have been on their knees before Him, recognizing, as the common people did, that He HAD to be from God! No one had ever healed like Jesus did! But their minds were blinded by the enemy and THIS was their response to this spectacular, supernatural evidence of the love and power of Almighty God! Verse 14:
14 But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, There are six days on which work ought to be done; so come on those days and be cured, and not on the Sabbath day.
REALLY? You witness a miracle of compassionate healing and THIS is what you deem as most important? Here is the response of Jesus and of the people in verses 15-17:
15 But the Lord replied to him, saying, You playactors (hypocrites)! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead it out to water it? 16 And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day? 17 Even as He said this, all His opponents were put to shame, and all the people were rejoicing over all the glorious things that were being done by Him.
I hope that you realize that the same evil spirits of pride, jealousy, hatred, bitterness and envy are actively working against God's people today, just as in Jesus' time! We have been given two commandments by Jesus Himself under our new and better Covenant, that will completely fulfill all of the other commandments! Jesus said THIS in Matthew 22:37-40:
37 And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). 38 This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself. 40 These two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets.
So, when you encounter people coming against other born again believers, whether they are ministers of the Gospel or not, realize that THESE commandments are for each one of us! There is NO ministry of exposing ministries! Our response should always be to first of all be ever ready to believe the best (1 Corinthians 13:7) and then to pray. IF Holy Spirit instructs us to do more, then He will confirm that and it will HAVE to be done in love, which will involve much prayer on our part! AMEN! So, let's be rejoicing with each other for all of the wonderful things that the God of the Bible is continuing to do through HIS people. Let's keep ourselves available for Him to operate through us. AND, let's continue to glorify God by preaching the Gospel as Jesus commissioned us to do in Mark 16:15-18:
15 And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]. 16 He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned. 17 And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; 18 They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.
