I am always blessed and amazed by the way the Spirit of God ministers to me and through me! It never fails that when I have a revelation from HIM concerning any certain subject, either my Pastor, our Worship leader, or one of our ministry partners will address the very same thing and even use some of the same examples! What a tremendous blessing it is to KNOW that we hear Him clearly! AMEN! I have another example of this today in the devotionals of two different ministries that we follow! Here they are: "Faith Food" by Kenneth E. Hagin and "Faith To Faith" by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland:
"A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled" (Prov. 18:20).
You won't get the blessings of God just because you believe. You don't get saved, healed, or get answers to prayer just because you believe. Most Christians think that is the case, but it isn't what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that you must believe and you must say something. For example, in order to be saved, Romans 10:9-10 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Notice it doesn't say you'll be saved just because you believe. The very next verse says, "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Jesus didn't conclude Mark 11:23 by saying you'd have whatsoever you believed. He concluded it by saying, "He shall have whatsoever he saith." Faith is always expressed in words! The words that you speak not just on Sunday, in church, or when you pray, but the words you speak in your everyday life, at home, with your friends, and on your job determine what you have in life.
Confession: I purpose that I shall speak only according to God's Word!
AND:
In a multitude of
words transgression is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is prudent. Proverbs 10:19 AMP
We believers need to
start watching our language! We need to quit throwing words around like they
weren't important and start using them like our lives depended on it--because,
according to the Word of God, they do! (Proverbs 18:21).
Too many of us have what Proverbs 19:1 calls a
perverted mouth. Having a perverted mouth means more than lying and using
profanity. It means having a disobedient mouth. It means saying things that are
out of line with the Word of God. All of us have done that at one time or
another. We'll say, for instance, that we're believing God for our healing and
then we'll turn right around to someone and make a statement like, "This
pain is about to kill me!" That's
perverted! It's backwards from what God's Word says.
"Oh well, Brother
Copeland, I know I said that, but it's not really what I meant."
Listen, the world of the spirit doesn't
operate on what you mean. It operates on what you say. Mark 11:23 tells us that
"whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast
into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those
things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he
saith." Take note. That verse
didn't say you shall have whatsoever you mean. It says you'll have what you
say. It's what you say that counts.
Now,
I'm not suggesting you should be tied up in knots all the time worrying about
what your next phrase might be. Just use the wisdom God has given you. Train
your mouth to be obedient to His Word. Then, when you need it most, you'll find
that Word dwelling richly in you.
Do you see that the words of your mouth are VITALLY important to your life here on earth? Now that you know that you can have what you say, stop saying ANYTHING you do NOT want to have! AMEN! Line up the words of your mouth with the Word of God! How do we DO that? It does NOT come from memorizing the Word, but by MEDITATING on the Word! Meditation means to read, study, think about, mutter, speak of to yourself and/or others, ponder, and imagine. Allow the Spirit of God, Who live IN every born again believer, to reveal the Word to you in a way that YOU can understand and "see" with the "inner" eyes! Faith will grow and then, when you speak, you will speak the Word and the Word will be fulfilled! HE watches over HIS Word in order to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12)! Give HIM something to confirm for you SPEAK THE WORD (Mark 16:20)! Amen! Here is Hillsong with "This Is Our God":
Shalom in Him!
