Shalom,

Psalm 91:1 says:

1 HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].

"He who dwells" is the Hebrew word "yashab". This means: to remain, to sit, to abide, to stay, have as one's abode. This involves more than just an occasional visit or a drive-by! It takes time, attention and a determined purpose to dwell! The "secret place" is that place of being aware of HIS presence, separated from people, places, things and events that would distract from hearing His voice and receiving His instruction! The person who does so will be in so close in proximity to His presence and power that it will be like we are covered with His shadow! Now THAT is close! Yes, He lives IN believers, but this can involve our entire spirit and soul and body! STAY in that "secret place" and you will know and experience continual protection! It takes diligence, though, to stay there! WELL WORTH IT! Amen! The continued promise is found in verses 9-10:

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.

Amen! Now listen to this song and sing it to Him yourself! From Hillsong here is "One Thing":

Shalom in Him!
