Deuteronomy 29:29 says this:
29The secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but the things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all of the words of this law.
These "secret things" are things that only God knows! This is the Hebrew word, "cathar", which means: to hide carefully, to conceal. GOD Himself has hidden these things! Why has He hidden them from us? He hasn't! Haven't you ever read Proverbs 25:2?
2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
This is telling us that it brings glory (Hebrew: "kabowd", which means: glory; abundance; riches; honour; reputation) to God when HE hides something in His Word for US to find out! The same word "kabowd" is used in reference for US to "search out a matter"! God WANTS us to know Him through His Word! And then we see in Deuteronomy 29:29 that SOME things are God's business alone! Unless HE reveals them to us, we will not know! The Good News? There is so very much more than we CAN know, IF we will follow on TO know! Amen! Let's DIG into God's Word like never before! Amen!
