Shalom,

We read this in our Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan for today. Luke 13:18-19:
18 This led Him to say, What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? 19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his own garden; and it grew and became a tree, and the wild birds found shelter and roosted and nested in its branches.

The Word of God has a lot to say about increasing our faith! We begin with a God-given 'measure of faith'. Romans 12:3:

3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. KJV

Then we see from these, and other, Scriptures, that faith can be increased or decreased, weak or strong!

  • Matthew 6:30        (little)
  • Matthew 8:10        (great)
  • Matthew 8:26        (little)
  • Acts 6:5 & 8         (full of)
  • Romans 4:20        (strong)
  • 2 Thessalonians    (growing)
  • 1 Timothy 1:5       (unfeigned)
  • James 2:5            (rich in)
It is up to us how much faith we actually have working in our lives continually! Romans 10:17 tells us this:

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. KJV

Once we receive the 'measure' of faith that God gives each one of us, then we can receive faith for any particular need from the Word of God! Once we have that faith rise up in us, we can increase it, strengthen it, grow it and build it up! How do we 'build it up'? Jude 20:

20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, KJV

The Amplified Bible is even better with this verse!

20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit; AMP

Let's continue to have GREAT faith operating in our lives! For our sakes and to be useful to others! AMEN! Here is Hillsong United with "Oceans":

Shalom in Him!
