Shalom,

There are two verses that I really love in our reading of 2 Corinthians 4 today. The first is verse 6:

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. KJV

"Commanded" here is the Greek word "epo" which is a primary verb that is used only in the definite past tense. As I meditate on this I see that when once God spoke to the darkness and commanded light into existence, He never had to do so again! When the God of the Bible says it, IT IS DONE! The other TRUTH that I discovered is that I don't believe that God said "let there be light". I believe that He said "Light BE" and light had no choice but to become! We need to become people of fewer, yet more powerful words! Make our words be HIS WORD, and they will be as powerful as His! That brings me to my second favorite verse! Verse 7:

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. KJV

By our being filled with the Spirit of God, the power of God is available to us to use at HIS direction! If we were some super specimen of being, then the power may be linked to US. The fact that we are still mere human beings makes the evidence so much more powerful when WE speak His Word and HE confirms it with signs, wonders and miracles! ALL of the glory goes to HIM! AMEN! Let's look at those two verses from the Amplified Bible:
For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as [to beam forth] the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God [as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed] in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah). However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.

HE is "the Light of the Gospel" (John 1:4)! Once you receive Jesus as Lord and personal Savior, you HAVE the Spirit of Almighty God living INSIDE of you! You will NEVER be alone again! When you receive the infilling of Holy Spirit, you will give HIM access to your entire being! As we STAY filled, He continually leads, guides and directs us in HIS plans and purposes (Jeremiah 29:11)! Stay aware of His presence, His Word, His Anointing, His Message and His voice and you will be successful and prosperous in all that you do and wherever you go (Deuteronomy 28:8)! Let's let HIM shine through us as we go about our Father's business! AMEN! Here is Hillsong with "Light Will Shine":

Shalom in Him!
