Shalom,

I want to exhort and encourage you with what I read today in the "Morning Moments with Bob Yandian devotional. This is the part I am referring to:

"In the beginning of Second Peter, Peter had been reflecting on his experience on the Mount of Transfiguration. He was part of a select group of three who saw Jesus transfigured before their very eyes. Pete had witnessed Jesus' face shining like lightning and His clothing radiating like the sun. He also experienced seeing Moses and Elijah appear before Jesus and watched as they began conversing with Him. Peter emphasized how he had personally heard God speak to Jesus from a cloud saying, "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased..." (Matthew 3:17) Peter's congregation must have felt honored to not only have one of the original twelve disciples as their pastor but even more so, knowing he was one of the three men who formed Jesus' inner circle of friends. But as wonderful as these experiences were to Peter, he explained to his congregation that there was something more powerful than having an open vision or hearing God speak from Heaven. It is the Word of God!"  Look at 2 Peter 1:19a:

19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy;

"Not every believer will have a vision  or hear God speak audibly in this lifetime, but everyone can have the Word of God. The Word must always be our final authority. If what we see with our eyes contradicts God's Word, we should go with the Word. If what we hear with our ears contradicts the Word, we should choose to agree with the Word."

AMEN! He goes on to mention this from Psalm 138:2:

I will worship toward Your holy temple and praise Your name for Your loving-kindness and for Your truth and faithfulness; for You have exalted above all else Your name and Your word and You have magnified Your word above all Your name!

We KNOW that the Name of Jesus is above EVERY other name! Look at Ephesians 1:20-21:
20 Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], 21 Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.

Now we see that the Word of God is exalted even above His Name. When we meditate on that Truth, it makes perfect sense because it IS the Word that gives the NAME it's authority! So, what about the encouragement and exhortation that I mentioned? I want to encourage you to get into the Word of God, and get the Word of God IN YOU, as never before. The exhortation? According to this very Word of God, there are things that will take place on the earth during the end times that will be meant to deceive people in to believing lies. Some will claim to BE Jesus. Some will perform lying signs and wonders. When we KNOW the Word of God, and the voice of the Spirit of God, we will NOT be easily deceived. We KNOW His voice and when we line up anything we see or hear with His Word, we WILL know the Truth from the error! It takes diligence to know the Word, but it is VITAL for us to do so! Attending a Bible teaching local church is a great first step! If you are in our area, I invite you to join us at The Spoken Word Church. If you are not, contact us on our website through the link on the left and we will help you find one in your area. The next step will be to spend time every day feeding on the Word of God as your "necessary food" (Job 23:12). If you have never received the infilling of the Holy Spirit, you will want to receive that most precious and valuable Gift! HE will teach you the very deep things of the Word AND show you how to put them into practice in your own life! AMEN! Let's arm ourselves with everything that the God of the Bible provided for us and be about our Father's business of sharing the Gospel with everyone we come in contact with! You will NEVER regret this decision! Here, to encourage you in this pursuit, is Hillsong with "We Will See Him":

Shalom in Him!
