Romans 1:16 is another favorite Scripture of mine!

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. KJV

"Ashamed" is the Greek word "epaischunomai", which means: "to have a feeling of fear or shame which prevents a person from doing a thing." What is the thing that we are SUPPOSED to do? Look at Mark 16:15:

15 And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]. AMP

"Power" is the Greek word "dunamis", which means: force, specifically, miraculous power. It also means: inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature. This power that we are talking about is the power of God Himself! This is the same "power" that Paul tells us, in Philippians 3:11, comes with knowing HIM! "Salvation" is the Greek word "soteria", which means: rescue, safety, deliverance, preservation, health. THIS is why I will NEVER be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! People are counting on US to reveal His power to THEM! HE is counting on us to walk in His power on the earth so that HE gets the glory, and when HE gets the glory, people take notice! KNOW the Gospel, LOVE the Gospel, SHARE the Gospel! People will be saved in every area of life, HE will be pleased and YOU will be glad! AMEN!
