Shalom,

Psalm 75:1-3:

1 WE GIVE praise and thanks to You, O God, we praise and give thanks; Your wondrous works declare that Your Name is near and they who invoke Your Name rehearse Your wonders. 2 When the proper time has come [for executing My judgments], I will judge uprightly [says the LORD]. 3 When the earth totters, and all the inhabitants of it, it is I Who will poise and keep steady its pillars. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

In the KJV verse 1 says "Thy wondrous works". This is the Hebrew word "pala'", which means: to be marvelous, to be wonderful, to be surpassing, to be extraordinary, to be separate by distinguishing action, to be beyond one's power, to be difficult to do, to be difficult to understand, to show oneself wonderful and marvelous. We are to be telling others about all of His "wondrous works"! Who have YOU been telling? I also like these verses and more in the Message Bible:

1 We thank You, God, we thank You -- Your Name is our favorite word; Your mighty works are all we talk about. 2 You say, "I'm calling this meeting to order, I'm ready to set things right. 3 When the earth goes topsy-turvy and nobody knows which end is up, I nail it all down, I put everything in place again. 4 I say to the smart alecks, 'That's enough', to the bullies, 'Not so fast'." 5 Don't raise your fist against High God. Don't raise your voice against Rock of Ages. 6 He's the One from east to west; from desert to mountains, He's the One.

He IS the One, True, Most High, Living, Almighty God of the Bible! And WE belong to Him! Hallelujah! In Hebrews 9 we see the comparison between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. Here is a chart:

-----------------OLD COVENANT--------------------------------NEW COVENANT---------------

  • Repeated sacrifices               -----------------------------    One sacrifice
  • The blood of others              -----------------------------      His own blood
  • Covering sin                         -----------------------------      Putting away sin
  • For Israel only                      ----------------------------      For all sinners
  • Left the holy of holies           ------------  Entered heaven and remains there
  • Came out to bless the people   ---  Will come to take His people to heaven
Hebrews 9:11-12:

11 But [that appointed time came] when Christ (the Messiah) appeared as a High Priest of the better things that have come and are to come. [Then] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with [human] hands, that is, not a part of this material creation, 12 He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us).

That is the GREAT Good News! Jesus paid the price for OUR sin, ONCE for ALL! His one-time sacrifice was for ALL people, for ALL time! The only thing left for any person, anywhere, to do is to accept and receive Jesus as Lord and personal Savior. Doing so applies HIS blood to OUR sin! It is finished! AMEN!

Isaiah 64:4:

4 For from of old no one has heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who works and shows Himself active on behalf of him who [earnestly] waits for Him.

There is NO god like OUR GOD! Hallelujah! Here is Hillsong with This Is Our God:

Shalom in Him!
