Shalom,

Psalm 64 is another Psalm of David. He is in trouble and calling out to God. Saul was against David and had many people working with him who would do anything in order to find favor with the king! How would YOU handle a situation like that? David had this attitude found in verses 9-10:

9 And all men shall [reverently] fear and be in awe; and they will declare the work of God, for they will wisely consider and acknowledge that it is His doing. 10 The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall be glad in the LORD and shall trust and take refuge in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory and offer praise.

Make sure that you at LEAST have the same boldness and confidence  in God that David had! Remember, WE have a BETTER Covenant, based on better promises (Hebrews 8:6)!

Mark 14:32:

32 Then they went to a place called Gethsemane, and He said to His disciples, Sit down here while I pray.

Every place we read about in the Bible was/is a very real place! Some are still in existence, while the ruins and remains of others are continually being discovered in the nation of Israel! We visited the Garden of Gethsemane on our trip to Israel last year. Here are some pictures that we took there:

A 2-3000 year old Olive tree in the Garden. This was there when Jesus was!
More olive trees and other trees.
Another view of the Garden where Jesus went on the night He was betrayed by Judas.

In Isaiah 41:10, 13, & 14 we are told to "Fear not"! The command is the same in the New Covenant that we have! Our encouragement to recognize fear and to reject it is found in 2 timothy 1:7:

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The Amplified Bible is even better here!

7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self control.

It IS possible to live without fear! You KNOW what God's Word has to say about it, so now YOU can make a quality decision! AMEN!

Shalom in Him!
