Today we read a very important command given to the Israelites then, and to the Church of Jesus Christ now! Psalm 122:6-7:
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they prosper who love you [the Holy City]! 7 May peace be within your walls and prosperity within your palaces!
Since the gifts and callings of God are without repentance (Romans 11:29), meaning He will NOT go back on His Word, we KNOW that He still has a heart for Israel. The Church is here for such a time as this to spread the Gospel of Salvation. When our job is done, Jesus will appear for us in the air and the Church will be taken to Heaven. Then will begin the final 7 years of Jewish history! They will be without any friends in the world and will have to rely on God ALONE! He will NOT forsake them! While we are still here, He expects US to be the friend of Israel and care for her as He would! Great blessings come from supporting Israel and those who do not are choosing the curse (Genesis 12:3)! Look at verses 8-9:
8 For my brethren and companions' sake, I will now say, Peace be within you! 9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek, inquire for, and require your good.
At this time the Church IS "the house of the Lord our God"! For the sake of the blessing of the Lord continuing upon the Church, make sure that YOU are blessing Israel! AMEN! Soon and very soon WE are going to see our King! THEY will have to wait for 7 years, unless they choose Him before! Keep sharing the Good News and keep praying for the peace and prosperity of the nation of Israel and the city of Jerusalem! HE will be well pleased! AMEN! Here is Psalm 122 sung as praise!
