I had thought to go in a different direction today, but once I read THIS from Jerry Savelle's devotional for today, I HAD to share it! 

You Are A World Overcomer

Are you feeling overcome by the world? Are you feeling less than a conqueror? The Bible says in 1 John 5:4,

 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

Everybody goes through times when they don’t feel like the totally victorious Christian the Word says they are.The worst thing you can do is yield to condemnation. Instead, remind yourself that your feelings will lie to you. 

Feelings are just that…feelings! Your feelings will fluctuate depending on how you perceive yourself and the situations around you. These feelings can cause you to doubt what the Word says about you, and guess what? You will not get the victory. However, if you refuse to be led by your feelings and choose to believe what the Word says about you, despite them, your feelings will eventually change. 

As you meditate on what the Word says, you will perceive yourself able to overcome, and guess what? Victory will be easy. The Bible doesn’t say this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our feelings. It says, this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith!

Get radical and decide to walk by faith regardless of your feelings today.

Confession: I am not moved by what I feel, I am not moved by what I see. I am moved only by the Word of God and it says I am an overcomer.

AMEN! Remember, God's Word is TRUTH (John 17:17)! It does not just contain Truth, it IS Truth! Anything contrary to the Word of God is NOT the Truth! If something is not truth, then it IS a lie! Don't believe it! Choose to believe what the Word of God says to you and about you! Meditate on the Word until it fills your innermost being with the God kind of faith that will move ANY mountain! Begin to speak that overcoming Word into every situation you face. After all, GOD said that we are "more than conquerors" through our Lord Jesus (Romans 8:7)! Let's not argue with GOD!
