I really like this first part of today's "My Utmost For His Highest" by Oswald Chambers. I prefer the Word of God over any devotional, but sometimes HE uses other people to say things in a way that you just can't improve upon! We are, after all, different parts of the same Body, and we all have a different, unique and powerful part to play! I hope this will help YOU do your part a little better today!

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you —James 4:8

It is essential that you give people the opportunity to act on the truth of God. The responsibility must be left with the individual— you cannot act for him. It must be his own deliberate act, but the evangelical message should always lead him to action. Refusing to act leaves a person paralyzed, exactly where he was previously. But once he acts, he is never the same. It is the apparent folly of the truth that stands in the way of hundreds who have been convicted by the Spirit of God. Once I press myself into action, I immediately begin to live. Anything less is merely existing. The moments I truly live are the moments when I act with my entire will.

When we truly understand God's Plan of Salvation, that when we receive Jesus as Lord and personal Savior we HAVE eternal life operating in our innermost being (1 John 5:11-12), then we are free to obey God and His Word out of love, respect and commitment to HIM rather than trying to work our way in! You HAVE the very life of God in you, so become a consistent and active DOER of the Word of God and allow your life to impact others! When James said that faith without works (corresponding action) is dead (James 2:26), he meant that it is rendered ineffective and accomplishes nothing! We might just as well not have faith as to have it and not use it! SO, be about your Father's business and DO the Word! AMEN! Here is Hillsong with "Everyday":
