Psalm 99:1:


1 THE LORD reigns, let the peoples tremble [with reverential fear]! He sits [enthroned] above the cherubim, let the earth quake!


The word "reigns" is the Hebrew word "malak", which means: to reign, to ascend to the throne, to fill the functions of ruler over someone, commander-in-chief of the army, chief executive of a group, the head of the people. Our God IS God! He is the LORD over all! He REIGNS! AMEN! He makes people tremble in reverential fear and awe and He makes the nature stand up and take notice! Verse 9:


9 Extol the LORD our God and worship at His holy hill, for the LORD our God is holy!


We are to magnify HIM and worship HIM because He is holy! That means He is set apart from the world's idea of Who He is! He IS the One, True, Most High, Living, Almighty God of the Bible; the God of all creation; the God of our salvation! THAT is OUR GOD and He Is Able! Here is Hillsong Live with God Is Able!

In Luke 20 we see that as Jesus was teaching the people one day, the chief priests and scribes came to Him to ask where He got His authority! They exposed themselves right there! They, of all people, should have recognized Him when He came! They should have known WHO His authority came from! He answered their question with one of His own, which they didn't dare answer! They all continued to try to trick Him and trip Him up. This is still so amazing to me! They actually saw and heard these miracles that Jesus performed with their very own senses and they tried to trick Him! They should have been overwhelmed in His presence, but their own foolish pride got in the way. Don't allow anything such thing keep YOU from being deeply committed to fellowship with Him! Allow Him to lead, guide and direct your life and you will never be the same again! 


The poet Edwin Markham said in one of his poem's:


"We need the faith to go a path untrod,
The power to be alone and vote with God"


That is what Jeremiah and all of the prophets were doing! They were speaking to the people exactly what God was telling them to say, but the people very rarely received it that way! If they would have listened and made the little adjustments necessary to keep HIM as their LORD, Master and commander, they would never have had to go into captivity at all! Make sure that YOU are taking account of WHO is speaking to You and what he wants you to do! Stay right in the middle of God's perfect will for you by being obedient to that still, small voice! he is ALWAYS right!
