We read Romans 8 in our Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan for today.Verse s 1-2 say this:
1 Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.
The reason for the strike outs in verse 1 is that these words DO NOT appear in the original text! THERE is now NO condemnation, EVER, for those who are IN CHRIST JESUS! Those who have been born again by the Spirit of Almighty God, according to the Word of God, will never face condemnation! NOT because we never make mistakes or 'miss it' once in awhile, but because JESUS already bore ALL of the condemnation that WE deserved! HE TOOK IT ALL! HALLELUJAH! Now we MUST walk after the Spirit in this life if we desire to live victoriously and to finish our race well, be it does not ever bring judgement on us when we don't. When you can meditate on this one TRUTH until it becomes REAL to you, and a part of you, you will NEVER be intimidated by the devil or other people again! AMEN!
