Shalom,

Luke 4:1-2 (NLT):

4 Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, 2 where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.

The Wuest Expanded New Testament says this:

4 1-8 And Jesus, in the control of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was continually being led by the Spirit in the uninhabited region, for forty days being constantly put to the test by the devil as he solicited Him to sin.

Do you see that Jesus was filled with the Spirit of God and that it was that same Holy Spirit Who led Jesus into the wilderness in  order that He might be tested by the devil? Did Jesus pass the test? HE DID! He did it by speaking the Word of God! THAT is the same way that WE are to overcome every test, trial, situation or circumstance that we face! BY the Word of the Living God! Remember, when HE leads us TO something, it is in order to lead us THROUGH - VICTORIOUSLY! Amen! HIDE the Word in your heart so that you, too, might NOT sin against Him (Psalm 119:11)! The result is seen in verse 14:

14 Then Jesus went back full of and under the power of the [Holy] Spirit into Galilee, and the fame of Him spread through the whole region round about.

Maintain a victorious, Spirit-filled life by staying filled with the Spirit and full of His Word! Here is Hillsong with "I Will Run To You":

Shalom in Him!
