Today we read Proverbs 25 in our Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan and two verses really stood out to me! First of all verse 2:

² It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a thing.

WE, all born again beleivers, have been made priest and kings by our GOD! Look at 1 Peter 2:9:

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

And then Revelation 1:5-6:

5 And from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the Firstborn of the dead [first to be brought back to life] and the Prince (Ruler) of the kings of the earth. To Him Who ever loves us and has once [for all] loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood, 6 And formed us into a kingdom (a royal race), priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the power and the majesty and the dominion throughout the ages and forever and ever. Amen (so be it)

WE are the "kings" that Solomon is referring to in verse 2! Our GOD made us to be both priests and kings! It is passed time for US to step up our 'reign game"! Then verse 15:

¹⁵ By long forbearance and calmness of spirit a judge or ruler is persuaded, and soft speech breaks down the most bonelike resistance.

Shouting matches were never God's intended way for us to interact with unbelievers when presenting the GOOD NEWS! We see here that it is the 'soft answer' and the 'calm spirit that will ultimately reach people with the TRUTH! I hope that YOU will begin to see YOURSELF just as God sees you!
