Today I was really encouraged by our reading in Psalms (Spoken Word Bible Reading Plan)! Psalm 136:1-3 gives the first instruction!
1 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever. 2 O give thanks to the God of gods, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever. 3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever
Simple, yet such powerful instructions! When you begin to do this, the rest of this Psalm gives many of the reasons that HE is so deserving of our praise, thanksgiving and worship! As you read through this Psalm, begin to add your own personal reasons to praise Him! You will find yourself having a real GLORY PARTY before you know it! You will be stirring up the force of His joy that is already IN you, as a born again believer! That joy will become strength to you that will carry you through anything and everything that the enemy can even think to throw at you! Ready?
