Psalm 133 is a great and very needful admonition for born again believers, who are all children of the One True God, to remember and to heed!
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious ointment poured on the head, that ran down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron [the first high priest], that came down upon the collar and skirts of his garments [consecrating the whole body]. 3 It is like the dew of [lofty] Mount Hermon and the dew that comes on the hills of Zion; for there the Lord has commanded the blessing, even life forevermore [upon the high and the lowly].
Our first priority in walking in love is within our very own family, the Body of Christ! Look at this from Galatians 5:13-15:
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This recent election, which should have shown a great coming together of believers around the ONLY important thing, the Word of God, which reveals His will, instead became everything but that! Instead, we had believers arguing, fighting, belittling, accusing and basically lambasting other believers over who they were voting for! It is bad enough that this shameful behavior went on, especially involving ministers of the Gospel, who SHOULD have been the ones leading by example, but it continues still! Whether or not you were someone who behaved this way, or someone who was the object of this deplorable behavior, it is time to be obedient DOERS of Psalm 133! Forgive if you were treated poorly and repent if you were the aggressor! NO ONE should EVER tell someone else what to do, but should direct every believer to the still small Voice of Holy Spirit within them! THEN, ans ONLY then, will God's will be able to be done for, in and through us! AMEN! God's desire for US is found in John 10:10:
10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
AMEN! This will be accomplished only through by faith,. which works by LOVE (Galatians 5:6)! Let's DO this! Here is Hillsong Worship with "Look To The Son":
Shalom in Him!
