I saw something in a fresh way in our Worship Service at The Spoken Word Church! Pastor Bill Novak is teaching a series on the Family and began in Genesis! Here are some of the verses that stood out to me!

Gen 1:26 God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.  [Ps 104:30; Heb 1:2; 11:3.] 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. AMP

Gen 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being. AMP

Gen 2:21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs or a part of his side and closed up the [place with] flesh. 22 And the rib or part of his side which the Lord God had taken from the man He built up and made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. 23 Then Adam said, This [creature] is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of a man. 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall become united and cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. AMP

Notice that God made man (mankind) in His image! He made THEM! God is both male and female! Adam, at his creation was also both male and female! NOT male and male or female and female! THAT is why a man leaving his father and mother and the two becoming one is the picture of marriage! Don't ever be tricked into operating by emotion instead of by the Word of God! AMEN! If God said it, then it is Truth, I don't care WHO disagrees about it! Don't fall into the "politically correct" mind set! Speak the Truth, in love, but speak!
