TUESDAY'S POST
Shalom,
Proverbs 8:6-11:
6 Hear, for I will speak excellent and princely things, and the opening of my lips shall be for right things. 7 For my mouth shall utter truth, and wrongdoing is detestable and loathsome to my lips. 8 All the words of my mouth are righteous (upright and in right standing with God); there is nothing contrary to truth or crooked in them. 9 They are all plain to him who understands [and opens his heart], and right to those who find knowledge [and live by it]. 10 Receive my instruction in preference to [striving for] silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold, 11 For skillful and godly Wisdom is better than rubies or pearls, and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
Do you remember that Matthew 6:33 says to seek, FIRST OF ALL, the kingdom of God and HIS way of doing and being right, then all the good things that the world strives after will be ours! Well His "way of doing and being right" is the Wisdom that these verses are talking about! In order to have OUR needs met and OUR situations under control, we HAVE to go hard after the Wisdom of God that is found in His Word! Again, there are no shortcuts to the awesome promises in the Word of God! Every promise has the condition of operating in faith for it! And we should all remember that faith comes by hearing and hearing and hearing the Word of God! AMEN! Verse 17:
17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me early and diligently shall find me. 18 Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and righteousness (uprightness in every area and relation, and right standing with God
Guess what? It doesn't COST to serve God and get into His Word! IT PAYS and it pays WELL! Verse 19:
19 My fruit is better than gold, yes, than refined gold, my increase than choice silver.
Now THAT is valuable stuff right there! I KNOW you want some of that! Stick with the Word, more and more every day, and you will find yourself living the life you only previously dreamed of! AMEN!
I found something new in Revelation 14 that gives me a little better concept of what Heaven will be like! Speaking of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists in verse 3:
3 And they sang a new song before the throne [of God] and before the four living creatures and before the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin]. No one could learn [to sing] that song except the 144,000 who had been ransomed (purchased, redeemed) from the earth.
We WILL be one big, happy family in Heaven! But we will NOT be all alike! We will all still have our individual and unique personalities, after all, God MADE us that way! We will all have different and unique responsibilities! And, apparently, we will all be singing different songs! They will be unique, but they will ALL give Glory to the Godhead! I sincerely believe that Heaven is going to be so very much more than what most believers expect! SO much better than this life! AMEN!
Ezra 1:1-4:
1 NOW IN the first year of Cyrus king of Persia [almost seventy years after the first Jewish captives were taken to Babylon], that the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might begin to be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and put it also in writing: 2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: the LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem in Judah. 3 Whoever is among you of all His people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem in Judah and rebuild the house of the LORD, the God of Israel, in Jerusalem; he is God. 4 Ands in every place where a survivor [of the Babylonian captivity of the Jews] sojourns, let the men of that place assist him with silver and gold, with goods and beasts, besides freewill offerings for the house of God in Jerusalem.
Is that not unprecedented! Not only are the Jewish captives allowed to return to their homeland, but they are to be given money and everything else they will need, along with extra funds to rebuild the temple that had been destroyed when they were taken captive! Things did not appear to be any different to the captives. it was just like any other day for most of them! It looked like an impossibility that they would ever be able to return home. They had nothing and were under the control of their captors. But God had said that after seventy years they would return! Only the few that were looking into the Word were not surprised (Daniel 9)! Isn't that just like our good, compassionate, merciful and loving God to bring them back in abundance? That should give you confidence that when you make the corrections and adjustments that the Holy Spirit tells you to make, he will also cause YOU to have an abundant return!
The king also had them take back the vessels from the Temple that Nebuchadnezzar had taken. And just another proof to us that God never forgot them for a moment while they were in captivity, chapter 2 lists the number of people returning and from to what family they belong! God SEES, God HEARS, and God will NEVER forget YOU! AMEN!
Shalom in Him!
