Shalom,

Proverbs 2:1-8:

1 My son, if you will receive my words and treasure up my commandments within you, Making your ear attentive to skillful and godly Wisdom and inclining and directing your heart and mind to understanding [applying all your powers to the quest for it]; Yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, If you seek [Wisdom] as for silver and search for skillful and godly Wisdom as for hidden treasures, Then you will understand the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of [our omniscient] God. For the Lord gives skillful and godly Wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with Him); He is a shield to those who walk uprightly and in integrity, That He may guard the paths of justice; yes, He preserves the way of His saints.

Notice that it is ONLY when we are seeking for this
"skillful and godly Wisdom" with our whole hearts that we will find it! Look again at the first part of verse 7:

He hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with Him)

He has hidden the understanding of His Word FOR us, not FROM us! We MUST progressively come to know the Word of God if we are to walk in the authority that He has given us! Look at Hosea 6:3a from the KJV and the Amplified Bible:

3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord KJV

3 Yes, let us know (recognize, be acquainted with, and understand) Him; let us be zealous to know the Lord [to appreciate, give heed to, and cherish Him]. AMP

We WILL know, IF we follow on to know! IF we make it our daily determined purpose to know! Make the decision today to get to know something more about Him and His Word every day. You will be amazed at how quickly those little nuggets of Truth and layers of knowledge build upon each other until your faith, trust and confidence is stronger than you ever thought possible! AMEN! Shalom in Him!
